I personally feel we’re out of Classic already with Wotlk. Classic to me will always be the first game to 60. Wotlk feels more like Retail than the original game to me.
It’s just a general term and means a different thing depending on when you started playing the game. Similar to classic cars I guess.
I really feel they should rename these servers to “Progression” or something like that. At least we’d all be more on the same page to what they are.

I would not say its retail. I would regard wrath as i have seen many say, peak wow. Its when to most people wow was the best it ever was. Its not classic, its not retail, its peak.

See and I felt that Wrath so far, feels just like normal Wrath except with a metric ton of boxes and no RDF.
The quests are the same, my interactions with people are the same, etc.
The real differences come from like my own gearing progression. This time I already know what I am doing so I’m farming for whatever gear I specifically need instead of just randomly going to any dungeon I can to farm random items.
It probably does and I’m not saying it doesn’t feel like Wrath did originally. It just doesn’t feel like classic WoW (original game) to me and feels more like retail does with its leveling/gearing on rails for the most part.
I can say with all honesty that I will have forgotten you by the time the servers are back up and that this is yet another reason to love the total lack of CRZ.
No to heirlooms. They were part of the downfall when they revamped leveling and you got all those exp bonuses from the heirloom gear. They were associated with removal of many things from the classic game that is tied to Cata. No to Unlimited Specs, dual spec is great. If you need a 3rd spec you obviously play a ton and can afford the gold for talent resets.
I like the other ideas. I honestly have no idea how the AH is different. I use auctionator and it’s just fine. Unless you mean cross faction where horde/alliance share the same AH?
I would add RDF is super important for normals.
Transmog is a must have.
These QOL features would keep people around imo.
I have never seen anyone saying no to a qol feature STRICTLY because it is in retail lol.

I’d like to see retail’s tagging system in classic. More than just about anything tbh aside maybe the AH.
You better not be using the default raid frames. Make sure you go download an addon to bring back the absolutely awful raid frames of original WoTLK.
I don’t see how it makes the game better to force only a limited number of specs/expensive respecs. AH definitely needs to be better, zep timers seem good, account-wide mounts/pets would be awesome, and as for RDF/LFR, eh, I think it adds some QOL for a lot of casual players.
I’m likely never going to see a raid outside of using LFR. I don’t have consistent time available to go and do them even if I did want to study the bosses and get into them. Same with dungeons. I remember leveling in retail years ago after they released RDF and actually doing dungeons because of it. Without it, I have done exactly zero while leveling a mage and a pally to 70, and now to 80. The risk of a group sucking and wasting an hour or more is just too high; I only get a few hours at a time to play, a couple times a week.
