3 months in MC is too much. Naxx should be open by the 6 month mark. I imagine it will be 3 months until we even have an honor system too. While I’m super hyped about a fresh, this is probably worth discussing.

It’s already extremely accelerated vs. it’s original 2019 conception.
By this time next year, Naxx will be in full swing/near completed. We could be in BC servers as early as winter next year. That’s 12 months. 12-14 months until BC arrives… Vs 2019 Classic it took 2 years for BC to arrive. They’re shaving off 6 to 8 months.

Yeah, it’s definitely already accelerated, but for where the player base is now, I think much more acceleration is needed. It’s clear that populations drop off once raid logging is all people have to look forward to for 2+months. So that part of things should be cut out in era freshes, especially if they’re going to be cyclical (which they should be)
I’m not going to lie… I agree to a certain extent. I love love the leveling in vanilla (and BC!) and that’s really all I plan to do. I might raid, but that’s a big might.
My goal is to get to level 60, maybe get some gear, and park it until BC hits.
Edit: And then sink every waking hour of every day into TBC and raid Kara like mad like old times!!

Yeah, honestly, my favorite part of the game is leveling, and then ranking. I can deal with waiting on ranking to start. But outside of my personal preferences, it seems like a pretty easy conclusion to make that once raid logging mode starts, populations start to decline. 2 or 3 months of this could be destructive. But speeding it up more will more likely keep people subbed and interested.
I suppose they have the metrics to determine this, and I don’t. But at the same time, they are also very keen to have their time engagement metrics satisfied, and perhaps want players bored of the fresh during the year so they’ll go play things like D4 in between, or spend money on retail, etc.
I just think that method’s bad because, like every fresh, not many are left after AQ opens. I think they should be playing off that and accelerating.
