How is it gatekeeping? Nobody is keeping you from attaining mounts or rating but yourself.

I was just looking at the titles in the general discussion, and I 100% agree with you. It’s all coming from the entitled woke crowd. No wonder Blizz hardly ever reads this forum.
I can’t for the life of me understand why these angry tweens are even playing the game, they seem to hate it so much.
The contract doesn’t even do anything as the amount of toxic garbage “still” in trade chat hasn’t changed one bit. Don’t know why it was even created.
I’d say maybe 3 postings out of the rest of the forum are even worth reading anymore.
It is a total cesspool, just like trade chat.

I ask them this all the time. I’ve yet to get an answer. Hopefully they speak up at some point. Kinda tired of all the “Casuals” That play the game all the time, but complain their kill 12 wolves quest doesn’t give them 304 gear and the gladiator mount skin.

I’m better than all of you don’t even look at me. I’ll have you know I’ve topped the leaderboards in every class, done CE every year, have all mounts and achievements and none of you are worthy to even be in the same thread as me.

Exactly.
My car broke down on me twice the last month.
IM allowed to complain about that while not waiting to go buy a different car because over all I like this car. No rust, low mileage, the engine and trans are solid. Just a lot of little things keep chumping out, nothing major.
And Im ALLOWED to complain about that.

Do you really expect a reasonable answer when you present that kind of hyperbole? Still…I’ll try to give you one.
Complaints don’t always equate to hatred. A good number of the people complaining about the current state of the game actually love it. The game, I mean. They want to see it be made better, instead of being driven deeper into oblivion by being buried even further under complex systems, time-gating and un-rewarding RNG…all for the purpose of driving up the player’s ‘time played’ metric.

I guess that’s the point, its nuanced. Healthy discussion of game systems you mention here is one thing. Cryin’ and moanin’ about ‘muh kittah’ while you threaten to ‘sue, quit, or generally stomp about like a child’ is another.

I started in Legion. The game was pretty good then. Then BFA and SL garbage happened.
