Every time I run this dungeon, I’m reminded of how completely out of place, wacky, and amazing the music is during the Bronjahm encounter.
More of this, please.

I really feel on that boss music specifically there was James Brown musical influence there
That seems to be the general consensus! Apparently, ‘Bronjahm’ is a loose anagram of ‘James Brown’.
And just the fact the music is so out of place for the dungeon in particular makes it even better
It was amazing when it was current. We all would jam to the music on his encounter.
It’s Soul music, lol
We’d run that place every week (along with Pit of Saron and Halls of Reflection) because they’d drop Ulduar-equivalent gear, good for alts trying to do ICC.
Also, Bronjahm himself drops a rare bag, so we’d often do it just for that.
Battered Hilt also drops in these, and would go for a lot of gold.
Yeah, 100%. I remember hearing it for the first time many moons ago and thinking that I had music playing on my browser or something. Lol
I think the juxtaposition of forging souls and whatever genre this music is really makes it a fun experience.
It was. I remember being curious enough about it to look it up back during Wrath.
Notes from that article:
I was always tickled by the way simply adding a letter turned his cool music nickname into an absolutely badass fantasy title.
Someone just had a vision for a musical reference and made it a dungeon.
Thought I would do a search to see if anyone else was thinking how whack the Forge of Souls music is.
Haha I love it!
It’s an absolute banger.
Sorry to necrobunp this post, but just got a new headset, and therefore only really noticed this music for the first time yesterday. It really is awesome!
