No, the statement is I’ll sub when flight is available and leave the second it isn’t. Why dont you unsub now since you’re so hard up about flight?? Vote with your $$ and stick to your convictions.
Some of us are fine with pathfinder but are sick of the arbitrary time gate.
Okay, I am done with you. I am not the one who needs to prove my case. I listed the mmos that don’t have flying. But I will play along 1 more time quickly about 2 of those mmos I said. If you don’t think Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online are dead and not popular, then that shows how much you know about this genre and market.
THing is Part 2 is the problem . There was nearly a year long gap from the time a lot of people finished part 1 to the time they completed part 2 .
If they would make it so part 1 covers the areas it was done in then allow flying in those zones . Part 2 could cover the next set of zones in an expansion for flying.
Guild wars 2 has flying mounts.
You missed the point the OP was making and jumped the gun.
Having Pathfinder Part 2 immediately available at launch won’t hurt anyone, matter of a fact it would be a far greater incentive to actually complete the thing sooner if you know you just have to do about a solid 3 weeks of WQ grind - all of em’ - and you’ll be in the air before the first raid tier!
but I do think there is an argument to make it accessible slightly earlier in an expansion
I agree with you here, however
part of the issue is that it’s mid BFA, but lots of people haven’t yet got flying.
Unfortunately you lose me here. That is on those people that don’t have it yet. Whether they quit and came back, or just never bothered we can’t control that.
That said I still hold steady part one should be available immediately. Compete requirements and take to the sky.
When the next land mass comes in (think Nazjatar for exame) ground us there. Give us a part 2 to complete and let us earn it again.
And so forth. It is my opinion that with a policy such as this, a lot of the complaints would disappear.
Unfortunately, it just took way too ok g for part 2 to even come into the game.
Out of curiosity what is up with the flight threads again? Not you specifically Elae. Is their complaint cycle just come around again or what?
Ok, apologies. Usually the "flight simulator " comment only comes from anti-flyers. But I still vehemently disagree with the implementation of Pathfinder and won’t be subbed during the spitegated period.
I’m not buying Shadowlands until I see what they plan to do about world questing requirements.
As good as PoE looks right now I might just lean on that and skip Shadowlands entirely if the rep earning design isn’t any better than BFA.

Fair enough and I appreciate the apology. I use that line to those who appear to only play WoW for flying and say things like, “I refuse to buy an expansion until flying is unlocked” or things like that (even though they still buy the expansion or even pre-order it). Just gets old with all these people who keep making flying threads when Blizzard is standing firm on pathfinder.
I’d rather just buy it with gold at max level.
There could be a Blue post RIGHT NOW that would say that and someone on this forum would claim its all an evil plot by Blizzard to sell tokens next expansion.
Far from the truth, rose tinted goggles much
The website I’m reading says ESO and GW2 is bigger than FF. Since it’s hard to guess the exact sub count they’re basing this off of Twitch, YouTube, website traffic, etc.
1.) WoW
2.) ESO
3.) BDO
4.) GW2
5.) Runescape
6.) FF14
Are you sure you’re responding to the correct person? Nothing I said has to do with rose tinted goggles.
I missed out on WoD and the first half of Legion, so BFA was the first year I’ve ever spent in WoW where flight was locked up the entire year – and I will never do that again. Since the highs of WotLK, it seems that every step they’ve taken to slow down the game has resulted in a big drop in subscriptions. (Cata was such an obvious attempt to slow the game down, as was WoD.) Anyway, they can please the 3 million or so people that like a slow, tedious game and keep flight locked up, or they can bring back flight and millions of subscriptions. I’m just tired of fighting for this game, honestly. ESO is killing it, and if they refuse to fix flight, especially pathfinder on old expansions, that’s where I’ll be next year.
ESO and GW2 is bigger than FF.
FF is strange in that the director tells people to like unsub and go play other games if they feel there is a drought or they have completed the content.
ESO has been on a bender, the beta was awful but so far its been pretty baller all these years later.
GW2, RIP. You…you tried…
So PAthfinder isn’t going any where but it can change and before you say no it can’t let me stop you right there.
Flying used to be bought in gold now Pathfinder so there’s a change.
Raids used to be 40 mans at one time and had to be organized . Now there are multiple versions and you can actually queue for them now with LfR . So another change.
Dungeons you used to have to form groups then had to run or ride to said dungeon and some you couldn’t do because of location and faction (Ragefire & Stockades) Now you can queue for a dungeon and as soon as a group is randomly put together you are in a dungeon . Even possibly one you couldn’y do in the past because of faction and location . Yet another change.
So simply put a lot of us know Pathfinder isn’t going away but there is no reason for us not to push for changes in it.

Well, that’s not what I was going to say but go on…

mhmm

yeah.

yeah, changes happen.

It’s not going anywhere until you guys stop paying Blizzard with your time and money. It’s obviously not a big enough deal for you. So until you decide to stop giving them your time and money they’ll just keep patting themselves on the back for a job well done.
Mass unsubs are how changes happen, throwing hissy fits and spamming the forum with spam and troll threads isn’t how changes happen.
Nice edit there leaving out the part that says
That are remotely as successful as wow.
Nice way to take a sound bite to make it fit your agenda
Guess that means more people approve of Pathfinder since WoW is still the most successful.
