The flyhacking bot I reported 3 times to blizzards report hack email still out there

This is depressing. What is the point of the hacks@blizz email if literal flyhacking doesn’t warrant a ban? Screenshots, mindvision videos, what does it take?

I know Era isn’t a favourite child, but seriously?

Sorry, its late and night and I’m just exhausted with flyhacking bots taking stuff from our server. At least players doing the free xfer loophole are still playing…

Don’t worry. That account might get flagged after it generated 250k gold by itself 6 months from now in a banwave.

Enjoy your wow token.

There’s one on the Earthfury cluster. I saw it happen and it’s in Winterspring all day. That’s how it is everywhere though especially with the low reports due to a low pop. :frowning:

Hahaha, they don’t keep the gold on the bot account. If they did the economy wouldn’t be so messed up.

Not sure, there are like 2000 of them on Whitemane Cluster, its depressing.

I tried to see if I could grief a little on my horde at light hope and they’re terrible, if you shoot them the guards attack you :frowning:

Blizzard need to look at a bot to see if it actually is botting as they don’t take your word for it. That can take some time.

I can appreciate needing to confirm, but flyhacking vs botting, its pretty easy to verify flyhacking I would think.

Unless they aren’t doing it when Blizzard look.

I’m not sure if Blizzard can look inside instances.

This happens in the overworld, they run behind Light’s Hope Chapel to a tree and start jumping into the air, then run across the map to east gate Strat, and slowly descend, then once they clip through the roof they turn it off and take fall damage, and blink into the instance. past that point my mind vision loses them.

Hmmmmm Blizzard apparently knows coding and software. Bots are fly hacking in areas where no flying is even available and walking though trees defying Blizzards intended coding… and yet seemingly Blizzard cannot be bothered writing a few lines of code to detect these cheats and auto-ban them instantly? ie Blizzard does not really care.

blizz has to confirm the mage named aslksdjf;238 doing cartwheels 1000 feet in the sky is in fact a bot bro. Don’t you know they can’t tell bro? They need to investigate for 6 months first bro because you never know bro it might be a legit player bro

Actually Blizzard don’t even need to ban the bots. If they shutdown free transfers off a dead server, the bots have no way to make gold.

The point is it’s a safe and secure black hole to dump all the whining about bots into that doesn’t cause extra tickets for the few GMs… because if their ticket volume increased exponentially, they’d have to actually hire more.

It also has the handy effect of making you feel like you actually did something, and causing players to shut up (usually, your post being an exception).

It’s also downright likely, they write in a script that auto emails every say 20th bot report after a random amount of days thanking you for the report and claiming to have taken action because of it.

It’s not about cleaning up the game, it’s about getting you to think they’re cleaning up the game, and stop crying. It’s a pacifier. And PRETENDING to do things is much much easier than actually doing things.

Honestly, I try not to be too ‘doom and gloom’ about things, but it genuinely feels like you’re correct here.

If the “leaked” classic expansion is real, the thing that WILL kill the player population is how Acti/Blizz handles botting.

If its rampant, the game will die.

Isn’t it crazy that a SINGLE SOLO employee could log on and stand outside of Dire maul north and ban 1000s of hackers in an hour

They most certainly could…

If blizzard turned off the honorless target debuff I could put the botters outa business.

But the PVP on era is already in shambles D: - but yes that would be hilarious :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder what the bot owners think when they see their revenues going down by what I would hope is quite a bit… we should monitor the mana pots and healing pots prices and gold prices for science :stuck_out_tongue: they’re definitely aware because some of them are fighting back… they sky hack and attack :stuck_out_tongue:

Some positives of this:

  1. Botters exterminated.
  2. Value of gold goes up.
  3. Once the super obvious botters are utterly destroyed the PvP will return to the battlegrounds, First AV then inevitably WSG & AB as the meta shifts back because it always seems to do so.
