Nah dude, it’s an open forum. Everyone is allowed and encouraged to participate. I’m absolutely willing to talk to you, maybe we can even get to be on the same page, or at least adjacent pages.
It’s annoying when actual problems with the game are dismissed flippantly by someone with zero credibility on the matter.
It’s like we can see that the food is burnt, and when we point it out and complain - the janitor - not the chef, is coming out of his little utility closet to inform us that this is in fact good cuisine.
Your response to me was trying to phrase what I said as a personal insult. Sorry, what were we discussing again? I’m just not going to engage with someone who tries to paint me as a attacker over a very neutral response.
You gotta be fair here dude, none of us really have any credibility on the matter, we’re just talking about what’s gonna make the most happy juices in our own smooth-a** brains.
Also, second part is more accurate if it’s another customer pointing out that they prefer their steaks well-done, and therefor so should we.
Edit: Kind of a garbage establishment if they only offer steaks well done, though.
Going to print this and put it on my wall, what a great comment.
I just tend to take wording a bit more seriously than most. Forgive me.
I know quite well what the complaints here are about regarding covenants, but since I’m a casual, I just simply don’t really care.
You haven’t even tried in this thread though.
Literally all you’ve done is alternate between insulting people and whine that people aren’t nice to you in this thread.
You’ve posted 17 times and not once have you actually described why you’re against Covenants being unlocked.
Edit: 18 now.
Least I can admit to my own faults.
Then… why are you here?
Posting 18 times in a thread doesn’t give a very good impression that you don’t care.
“MY QUEST IS MANDATORY!!!”
I felt that.
Let me offer you a counterpoint. I hadn’t considered this until earlier today. In another thread, someone pointed out that most of the covenant abilities are really boring anyway. If you think about that, one of the possible reasons is that they’re trying so hard to balance them all because of all this pressure they put on themselves with their locking system. If they’d unlock covenants, they could go full scorched earth bombastic insane abilities that just shine in different areas. Then we could all play around with absolutely nutters abilities, this might not bring you over to our side, but can you see how this is a potential scenario brought about by locking covenants?
That’s fine, though I’d be careful not to confuse ‘casual’ with ‘never does high end content’, as anyone who does will be impacted by this, casual or not.
Like, you can dismiss justified annoyance with design direction and proposed systems all you want, but when you do so - don’t play the victim when people dogpile on you and rip your little fox ears off to the tune of All Star in response, though.
There is some evil between those fluffy cute ears of yours.
Of course there is, they’re horde side.
You’d be angry too if the writing team did this to you.
Huh…
I haven’t really given much thought about that because I’m unfortunately blinded by excitement for something new and to be honest my lust for revenge on min/maxers.
That is a glaring problem and knowing Blizzard. That is a very real threat to what these covenants may introduce.
Haha, well…again, I appreciate your honesty, but designing things around getting revenge on a subset of people usually isn’t the way a developer should go about things.
The way they have designed the covenants doesn’t just make the player’s choice difficult, it actually makes it REALLY hard to balance it on Blizzard’s end as well.
I didn’t propose that tho. :L
Then why lock the systems in the first place?
