Fear not. I will be the substitute for these pitiful alliance players.
Proceeds to flex her bulging orc like muscles
You see alliance the problem is…you simply aren’t working hard enough.
I know based on my acheivement score it might seem like I do zero end game content however even I do an insane amount of work.
You mere alliance weaklings have no idea how hard it really is to play horde
/flex
It’s probably one of the hardest things to ever do.
All your problems are clearly a result of your weakness and refusal to do hard work like us horde players
/flex
There is simply no compare, this is clearly all the alliance’s fault.
Us strong hardworking horde players refuse to group with you because it’s clear your lazy.
It’s definitely not because we take a pleasure in watching others suffer that couldn’t be it at all.
Crossplay for pve between the factions would clearly just be too gamebreaking.
Our hard earned horde work shall not be punished by the alliance
/flex
Just force casual players to do CE content lazy alliance players, it’s that easy!

During Wrath, the faction divide was fine.
We’re past the point of no return now though.

Fine is fine, but the faction divide didn’t play a major role in what made wrath great.
The zones, storylines, death knights, Arthas’ arc, quests, dungeons and raids, are all what made wrath amazing.
The faction barrier has no place in modern WoW and modern MMOs, it served its purpose back in 2004, a very different time for MMOs and PC gaming in general.
The story ended the faction conflict in BFA and had its characters even state how ridiculous it is for us to fight each other constantly while an actual big bad looms, at most we go forward with faction tension and apart from a “Garrosh-esq” storyline, there is generally no “faction conflict” with a sustainable foundation anymore.

They won’t change it in time before the bloodbath in January.
wait. what bloodbath in january?
The 6-month sub offer with the bird came out before the lawsuit et. al. Anyone who bought a sub in that window (After Bird<>Before Lawsuit) will have their sub run out in January.
Awww I thought we were talking about an event where we kill horde. Now I’m sad.
Might kill the whole game. We’ll see. You don’t need to get rid of everyone before the shareholders think the ROI isn’t worth the time, and give it the ol’ Reforged Treatment.
Ehhhh. Even if it does play out that way it wouldn’t kill it in January, I think. It’d probably snowball down for a few months, I think, if it did happen as you say where all the 6 month subs cancel.

I know this has been said before, and correct me if im wrong (without being toxic), but how many times have alliance and horde been at war with each other?
shadowlands-no
bfa-no
legion-no
warlords-against the iron horde but that doesnt really count
mists-no
cata-no
wrath-no
tbc-no
classic-no
the only time each have been at war is battlgrounds and people that rolled on a pvp server, every xpac a/h have come together to kill whatever the big bad is. so you people advocating for no division, turn on war mode, make your own groups with your own faction, and probably a number of other things you can do.
I’ve played through TBC and WOTLK private servers that had seamless cross faction PVE on PVP servers. It would be beyond easy for Blizzard to do cross faction in retail. Ion just doesnt give a damn because he gets carried on his horde shaman only
Honestly, the best solution would probably just allow the factions and the war exists but then have a new area of the game dedicated to it. Lore wise, could have it where they finally agree to have peace after Shadowlands but then they found a new world or place to fight over, and make that area the PvP zone where the factions continue to war in while opening up everything else.
But I came to WoW from ESO… So, I am use to that kind of system where factions don’t mean anything in PvE, and is primarily only meaningful in one large PvP area and a queued PvP system.
Actually if you were to turn off factions then world pvp would become every man and woman for themself imagine the blood bath and chaos. It would probably be even more war in warcraft.

Hostility between factions is fine with me. I don’t at all think its what is “wrong” with WoW.

There are only a few things they need to do .
1: Remove the faction and limit on how many people from the same faction can hit a target for open world .
2: Allow players to form groups via their btag friends and players via LfG cross faction it the person being selected has chosen to play cross faction . Easily done by having a check box for it in the LfG tool.
3: Allow players the option for LfD/LfR to have a check box to choose cross faction instances.
4: Leave Capital cities as they are and if a dungeon or a raid is in a cap city . The Area between Summoning Stone and instance is neutral ground and players from other faction can not be attacked in that area.
5: Make changes only apply to non Warmode shards.

I look forward to the faction divide being removed just because I look forward to the drama that will come from mixing two sides
Yeah, the story and game could be so much better without it.

Hm, guess that would keep me out of Warmode for good then
If I not only have to worry about a level 60 of the opposite faction ganking me but a level 60 of my own faction ganking me too I’ll just go ahead and never be in WarMode again
Correct me if I’m wrong (which I certainly can be since I don’t care about lore or immersion) but aren’t the Horde and Alliance always at war?
