Even by the end of the season, between ret, arms war, Fistweaver, demo+Dest lock, and BM hunters really speaks to how little Blizzard cares about PvP honestly. The fact they hard nerfed other casters instead, really drives the point home that this game probably won’t ever have any decent PvP. Best to play GW2 or ESO if you want PvP.

Not my home forum I know, but ESO has the big problem of lag (at least in Cyrodiil, the big PvP zone).

Ret nerfs were super sizeable.
Just goes to show how strong Ret is when they’re still A+/S tier after the nerfs.
Wings’ modifiers cut in half
Blessing of Dusk absorb nerfed into nothingness
Mega Storm nerfed by like 40%
Shield of Vengeance is like half as good as it used to be
4-HP talent nerfed into a skipped talent
JV nerfed into a skipped talent
Ret still out here yammin’

Dude, don’t EVER suggest ESO pvp EVER EVER EVER again.
Dead Wars 2 is slightly okay suggestion, but not eso.
The only pvp thats works decent in eso is dueling. If you only like dueling then go play eso. Otherwise, ESO was designed to be a “see animation, react” game but they made models super tiny and animations almost impossible to see unless you are 1v1ing.
anymore than 2 players and you can’t track anything, no cast bars, nothing. Cyrodill is just, don’t stand in big red circle, stand in big green circle. We asked for small scale pvp and they gave us 4v4v4 battlegrounds were it just ends up being 8 v 4. Terribly designed game.
Then you got CP points. where you spend almost a year 15 to 20% weaker than players who’ve spent a year playing.
Then you got rare traits that you have to run 10/10 on those solo pve arena things that nerf you by another 10% if you don’t have that trait
Then you have new sets come out thats about 10% stronger than the old sets, but oh wait, you gotta get the right set piece to drop between like 10 traits, and only 1 or 2 traits are good, so you end up playing the same easy cake walk pve, and gotta run it 100 times just to get the right piece.
Don’t ever suggest eso.

Ret shouldn’t have lasted longer than 5 minutes and it was a total crap show for way too long that I am still upset about but current meta is fairly diverse
literally every single team has a ret or warlock on it or both with the occasional jungle or dh boomy

Don’t worry, your crying will stop once 10.1 will come out, unless you play spriest which I’m terribly sorry for you. The new pvp talents they added to casters, along with every caster getting precog baseline as well as some casters tier sets like warlock, you won’t be seeing much rets or melee cleave in general, it will just be high dampening harry potter cleaves. No need to nerf melee if they can’t exist, right? I hope you like being in an arena match for 10 minutes.

It’s a different kind of PvP, but yeah it’s great. It’s also why I named GW2, there’s different types/styles of PvP in MMORPGs honestly.
Don’t forget:
- Divine Arbiter proc nerfed
- Divine Purpose proc bonus damage and healing nerfed
- Divine Protection changed to 20% damage reduction instead of 30%
- FoL instant healing nerfed
- Multiple PvP talents nerfed including Lawbringer, Luminescence, Aura of Reckoning, and Judgments of the Pure.
Before any more nerfs get pushed on Ret they still need to reduce Arms self-healing/absorbs and Demo’s absorbs with Soul Leech. Both of these specs still passively “outheal” Ret when you look at Details healing breakdowns, which is just silly…
