Blizzard is testing the waters by bringing back something simple and largely irrelevant.
Rather than complaining that they’re only bringing back a title when so many other things are lost to Prestige™, we need to be showing overwhelming support for the ability to earn something we missed the first time around.
Show Blizzard that the players who want to be able to earn it in the present outnumber the players who already have it and would get mad if other people could get it.
Prove to them and the shareholders that bringing things back is a good thing so they’ll do it again for the things that matter to you.
I like how Blizz are leaning in on the solo challenge content. I’m a potato and some of the tougher stuff is so hard for me, but when you get it the feeling is awesome.
You’re assuming they’re ok with it being unobtainable because they aren’t here complaining about it.
It’s just as likely that they see something is unobtainable, hate it, but either don’t realize there’s an official forum to complaining about it on or just aren’t the kind of person who complains about things.
Silence isn’t approval. It’s just a lack of feedback.
How so? They’re bringing back something that was made limited for the sake of prestige, but they’re being really safe about it and only bringing back something that can be swept under the rug if it goes poorly.
This being well received doesn’t guarantee mage tower appearances coming back, but it’s certainly more likely to happen if people don’t make a stink over it.
I hate when people say stuff like this, it is so toxic. It is okay for people to be proud of the things they earned. It signifies to others that either they’re skilled at the game or they were THERE. I don’t know why people who weren’t alive, playing, didn’t try, or whatever reason they don’t have something, think they have to have everything or even deserve it. I got artifact appearances from MT on 2 classes. I’ve never thought to make posts on the forums to beg or whine or complain that I can’t get others or pvp rewards, past m+ mounts and it goes on. I’m not even against things coming back, but I am against poor attitudes such as this with all the negativity directed at players who are simply proud of their achievements and accomplishments.
Well when you say things and behave the way you do, I don’t think you should get your way either. Some really poor attitudes on either side of that coin.
We also don’t know how much feedback or complaining Blizzard receives in game. I’m guessing the forum is a small modicum of the overall communication they actually get.
Blizzard is bringing back Horrific Visions, and bringing back the title for it.
Blizzard already brought back Mage Tower, but didn’t include the original rewards. The ship has sailed.
But this getting upset or petty with people who defend the things they earned or were there for is tiresome. I can just imagine Blizzard devs not wanting to bring back things like Mage Tower original rewards because of the constant bickering like children every other day.
I’m not against anyone else having the title, I’ll still wear my facelessness with pride. If Mage Tower rewards ever came back, I wouldn’t mind recolors of my Ghostblade daggers. Hot-Pink or Gold/Orange would be sweet.
Having an extreme stance on a fairly easy to get at the time title is a crazy look. Blizzard should go back on their word more often. Just this patch we were told that primordial wave was too complicated for ele so they made it more complicated and bad. They should walk back that one. Once upon a time they said covenants weren’t going to be what they were and it took over a year for them to correct it, and correct it they eventually did, despite saying all kinds of things to the contrary. Bring things back with rerun content, if the content is in the game so too should be the rewards it really is that simple.
