But you’re covering up your right eye.
Surely you’re more left?
Ahh good point I shall fix that.
Fix’d. Changed to “correct”
I don’t have an eye-patch yet, but I’m considering getting one.
I’m eye-curious.
Reporting in
You really should get one, I believe they are available on mail and leather but mostly leather. If you have a leather or mail alt, stockades has a chance to drop the one I’m wearing. If you can’t do that, go to Stranglethorn on mail or leather and do the pirate quests, you will get a lighter colored one but still eyepatch.
I wish eyepatches weren’t just for leather wearers.
Oh, even mail has one, much sad.
Hello everyone.
Us mail wearers can also use the eyepatch
I know they’re so awsome you deserve one to.
You must make a lot of left turns.
Sup.
I used to have a eye patch. Does that count?
The “Malefactor’s Eyepatch” that I’m 'mogged with is a reward from a fairly long quest chain in Blade’s Edge Mountains (in Outland). It is mail, btw.
The closest thing plate wearers can use is the “Crimson Beholder Eye”…which is oddly named, because it’s not red colored at all, nor is it an eye-patch strictly speaking. It’s a sort of monocular lens with a head strap.
I actually can see perfectly well through my eye patch. I have tons of stories to tell about me and my eye patch… and my favorite is how I got it enchanted to act like a normal eye even though my real eye had been gouged out years ago…
The wind rustled through my mane as I unsteadily headed down the steps from Krasus’ Landing, attempting to admire the intricately carved pathways winding through Dalaran and the huge, crystalline spires that towered over me, imposing and magnificent.
I had been having troubles navigating my terrain, ever since I lost my eye to the dagger of an orc, but it was getting worse as Dalaran was very bright, damaging my remaining eye. The eye patch hid the vile scars well, disguising my pain in a thick leather patch, but it hindered me from seeing well.
“I can’t go on like this… I can’t slay the Lich King half blind!” I muttered irritably.
And so I sauntered off to the Legerdemain Lounge to get some sleep and coffee, as it was rather early in the morning and I had just arrived from a long flight from Howling Fjord.
I opened the door to the Lounge, expecting it to be rather empty so early in the day, but found gossiping mages sitting on the most comfortable cushions and delicate chairs, sipping coffee and enjoying breakfast pastries as the day began.
Everyone froze when I walked in, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on what made them stop their chattering.
“Leelinn? Is… is that you?” the barber from across the road asked hesitantly.
“Why of coarse it is me!” I responded with a roar. “Why would you ask such a thing?”
But then it struck me.
The barber, whom I talked to often, did not recognize me because of my new eye patch. She stayed silent and continued stirring in sugar into her hot coffee.
I miserably sat down and ordered a coffee and a doughnut.
A finger tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around to see a cloaked figure, obviously a high elf as two sapphires glowed out from under the cloak.
He simply just nodded as I reeled around on my chair to face who him, and dropped a small blue orb into my drink.
“Why would you do that?!” I questioned, enraged that he ruined my coffee.
“Just drink” he replied, and then he went back to the dark corner of the Lounge.
I was groggy and tired, so I drank the coffee. It was so sweet I nearly spit it out, but it was strangely addictive and I downed the cup.
I soon found that I could see well once more, but I never found the cloaked elf again.
An interesting back-story, similar to my own. As I mentioned earlier, my eye-patch was a reward from a quest chain in the Blade’s Edge Mountains of Outland.
At the end of this chain, I do battle with a gigantic gronn named Goc (one of the famed Sons of Gruul). This is done at the behest of Baron Sablemane…who is in reality, the black dragon Sabellian (one of the sons of Deathwing). Even though I succeed in slaying the gronn, my story is that I loose the use of one eye during the fight.
In gratitude for eliminating his enemy, Sabellian enchants the eye-patch to not only restore my vision, but enhance it in various ways. This is why…no matter what xmog outfit I wear…I always keep the patch.
I don’t know why I have a patch, but I do and I love it.
it amuses me that all eye patch hunters wear the patch over their aiming eye
You have an eye patch because:
I’m willing to sacrifice potential coolness to keep my depth perception, sorry.
Thanks for the recognition!
