The existence of Rated Blitz is killing the survival of RBGs

Rated-Blitz is so rewarded in TWW compared to the old-RBGs
Now, people have almost entirely left RBGs
The RBGs are a unique gaming experience, is great, but a team of 10 has always been a difficult ask. It’s rewards don’t match it’s difficulty.
the advent of Rated Blitz has made it more difficult to find people to play RBGs.
RBG has been left out for too long as a way to play with a higher level of difficulty and challenge
It’s unique reward is only the HERO title (… As a game mode that has been around for 14 years, this Title no longer has any appeal to players…)
It seems like we should suggest Blizzard to increase the rewards for RBGs, otherwise it will die completely
My suggestion:

  1. Change alliance/horde heroes to Season Title+HERO
  2. Add more seasonal rewards like Rated-Blitz.
  3. Access to other color versions of the gladiator mount (which isn’t too much for how hard it is to play)
    and etc…

what do you think?

People wanted a pivot to solo gameplay modes with no voice and social interaction well you get what you ask for.

As much as I’m not a fan of hurting the social aspect of this game, the rbg community in general has been trash for a long time.

Na, just give a completely different mount.

This new mode should have never adopted the titles and rewards from RBGs. It’s actually disgraceful, both devaluing the RBG bracket and the time and effort of the players who worked for their achievements back in the days when they were active and competitive. Instead of trying to make everything equal in outcome, the access should be improved for the original, group-based competitive brackets. MMOs are supposed to be focused on group play, and PvP specifically should be centred around communication and strategizing.

Who could have guessed a Guardian Druid player was upset about RBG’s being harmed.

If you don’t have Hero/Glad your only option to play RBGs are to hop in yolos with players who are basically bots but kick less (and that’s if you’re willing to reroll to a meta class/spec to get an invite in the first place), then proceed to get farmed by ‘Glad/Hero only’ yolos, unless you network. Then if you network, 1/4 of the RBG Discords I’ve ever joined the chat logs were absolutely full of total human trash behavior/content, and about 1/2 the time comms are used people are either saying stuff I don’t want to hear, or people end up arguing.

There’s nothing to save. If RBGs deserve to exist they’ll have to exist on their own merit. 2v2 has less rewards than RBGs, so the incentive is already there if people want to do the content (they just don’t).

But creating a glad drake for people who have a 248/29 WL? That’s funny.

I don’t know how probation and parole officers are going to keep a tab on convicted felons with the death of RBGs.

Ya none of the soloq modes should have any of the rewards that the team modes do, they should be completely different but here we are.

Too late for that, my friend. Solo queue is what the people wanted.

I see no issue with RBGs dying completely tbh

I do agree with this tho

Should’ve been this way from the jump

If they add season name to hero title, they should also make it not account wide again

Good, RBGs should have been scrapped years ago. It harbors the most toxic community in all of wow. Who thinks its fun to spend 45 mins organizing a group only to lose and have to spend 45 more mins getting another?

The top of the community is very tightknit and gatekeeps high rating. I had a 3 month stint of playing rbgs all day in 2023 and god damn, it attracts the most insufferable, narcissistic, adhd people ive ever met in discord. They scrutinize even the smallest mistake so they have a finger to point if they lose. Just stay FAR away from RBGs and let it die out. BGB is the far superior game mode anyways.

This basically sums up my experience as well. RBG players are, to put it nicely, a different breed. Every discord I’ve been in has been full of drunk, high, or otherwise inebriated people, half of them with open mics, screaming about anything expect the game in front of them.

Every now and again I would find myself in a friendly, welcoming, and coordinated group. But that is very much the exception to my experience; my experiences in RBGs have rarely been positive or fun. I recently finished up the 300 win achievement in RBGs and never plan on stepping into another one.

The game will be much better served from solo queued PVP modes.

dawg it was like this before solo q RBGs were even announced

  • one of the most toxic communities in WoW
  • horribly imbalanced comp/class stacking certain specs just being completely mandatory in there
  • on a similar note, very few viable tank options, nobody plays the spec, people sit for hours just waiting for tank
  • stopped being competitive for most people long ago due to the above reasons, so the few high rated groups are just stomping matches against people hundreds of mmr lower because nobody queues

they should probably get rid of RBGs at this point

Good news and hopefully it continues. Rbgs are the worst pvp mode.

I fail to see the problem.

RBGs are a good source of skinhead chatter. How do you think the secret service and police knew about Trump’s shooter hours prior ?

Good riddance. That rbg community just wanted specific roles and if your role wasn’t in that meta list or you didn’t have some title. Well good luck in some yolo groups.

At least now one can play in as little as a 8 mins and get some plays in.

Good, RBG is trash tbh

2hr down time building a team only to spend 15 min in one match and having people leave because they spent all their game time sitting afk while leader makes a grp and then entire processes repeats
