I tried the mapping but I don’t remember it working. In the end I just kept running around and thankfully got it in about 3 hours. I was getting close to giving up.
I tried running through for the first 30 mins to no avail.
Ended up just using the endless map maker website and finished in about 45 mins after. There was one teleport that was sketchy but I kept back tracking one path to make sure things were mapped properly and got it done.
Probably one of the more enjoyable things I’ve done in SL and it’s from old content >_>
Much to my dismay, when I did that maze, the paths actually reconfigured themselves. So I tried my best, but I wandered around for 3 hours before finishing it. Every time I’d backtrack, the paths didn’t always match up with what I’d recorded. I used the addon for it, w/e it’s called. I don’t remember.
The key is to identify the ‘trap rooms’ that teleport you randomly around the maze, and not to pick up ANY braziers until you’ve mapped it as you need them as waymarkers to help find your way. I remember I doubled back through every single door I went through to make sure I hadn’t walked into one of those ‘trap rooms’ and if I had, marked it on my map and ran around randomly until I found a brazier room I’d already reached and could get back to my map.
They did a good job making that maze. I have multiple sheets of paper and ink on my writing hand from trying to map out the thing over the last several hours.
All I remember about the endless halls is the migraine it gave me and the feeling of sweet release when it was over, not because I had gotten the mount, but because I would never have to go there again.
Same. I forget when I did it, it’s been a few years, but I had graph paper all over my desk with crazy blocks and squiggles trying to figure out what the hell was happening.
Oh I forgot about this, might do it today. I really like mazes [yeah I may throw a fit or something and give up but it seems like the part I am looking towards].
I tried mapping it for a while but messed it up a few times and then just started wandering through it. Eventually had all but one brazier lit and after about 2 hours got frustrated and was wandering to find the exit. That’s when I stumbled into the last brazier by accident.
I remember doing that maze, definitely a challenge! I remember my wife walked into the office and saw a real life version of the Charlie Day from its always sunny in pa meme. I had like paper maps drawn all over and posted up in front of the computer. It was wild.
