Oh, no need to apologize. I’m honestly surprised that more people don’t find it funny that a couple of Orcs came all the way to Dragowlands to feel bad about genociding them while choosing not to feel bad about the other, much more pertinent genocides.
Like, as a Night Elf, it is really funny to meet an Orc and hear him go: “I am sad that I was mean to the dragons :(((” while you’re just standing right there.
Wouldn’t it be the Forsaken who would be the awkward party to this?
Also it’s entirely possible an old Dragonmaw who stayed in the east really had nothing to do with current events and that his cruelty against the dragons was genuinely his most recent action.
It’s fine to just laugh at stupid writing. You don’t need to go to the mat for it.
“I am here to make up for the sins of my past.”
“You mean bombing Theramore? Destroying Teldrassil? The genocide of multiple humanoid cultures? The relentless lust for imperialism? The propagation of slavery as a cultural practice? The instantaneous love for dictators and murderers?”
“No, none of those. Just the dragon-related ones.”
It’s a weird take to say a person can’t feel bad for something they did individually (and admonish themselves and say “some honour can’t be regained” and even argue and disagree with someone who states it might be otherwise) and die feeling guilty because they’re part of a group that did other things. Which the person did not themselves deny doing.

Pointing out bad writing isn’t weird at all, actually.
