When using the Incense Burner to transition to the spirit world, the RP never starts. The two Vrykuls are just sitting on the floor not having the conversation they are supposed to have, so the quest is not completeable.
How long did you wait?
You have to run out of the house then back in again. Going through the door is what triggers it.
