I believe there’s an obvious solution to some of the challenges we have in terms of finding groups in the M+ space. It isn’t a complete cure-all silver bullet, but I certainly think it would really help in terms of getting us group spots without disrupting the damage profile of the class.
Give warriors heroism/bloodlust!!
Thematically speaking it perfect sense and it’s honestly confusing that this class doesn’t have the ability to do this. It would also be really cool feature to be a tank class that has heroism, solving a lot of the issue with group comps today that leave other DPS classes out. I think would really improve the overall dynamic for m+ for many of the other non-meta classes.

Not against it if they going to leave our damage so low might as well make us a support spec.
Friend, we have been asking for this since they started giving it to classes other than Shamans. It’s never happening.
Hunters got a bloodlust before us. Figure that one out.

Realistically this does nothing for you as a dps warrior when you’re creating a group around a Warrior.
You’ll almost always want a Shaman of any flavour in your party as Arms or Prot due to how busted Skyfury is for both of these specs.
Given you’ve got a 5% AP buff you’ll also usually want your range dps of choice to be a hunter to benefit from your buff over a caster.
Both of which provide bloodlust.
Sure Protection Warriors might see a lot more invites to groups lacking in Shaman, Hunter, Mage and Evoker, but overall it’s the dps specs that are lacking in public perception instead of as a tank.
Warriors do not need bloodlust. What Warriors need is a class talent tree rework that yeets the ever living snot out of 90% of the offensive nodes and introducing utility within these options that you will have the freedom of picking as you need it for the group. These could include the following.
An enrage steal, a mass grip, a debuffing shout that reduces damage done by enemies etc…

So that we are the only tank class with BL? You sure you thought that through?
you ok if they give it only to DPS warriors then?
I don’t see a problem with that. Opens up group comp.
I’d still rather have a base damage amp buff for the group. Name it Rallying Cry or something and it gives your party/raid 10 to 20% damage and healing boost for 30 seconds.
THAT would be useful.

DK’s/Pallies/Druids have Brez.
Monk/Pally/Druid have some sort of dispel.
Warr go zug.
And now that we’ve been outted as the top damage tank spec, that’s primed for a “fix”.
^^THIS is the start of a cook. Rework rally into a unique group dps CD akin to lust.
That would make it another power amp so since meta would make that mandatory, they won’t do it. Unless its equivalent to lust and gives you sated debuff!

- Turn Crushing Force and Reinforced Plates each into 1 point.
- Now we can actually afford utility.
- Have Rallying Cry grant double the health to one’s own party.
- No longer so terrible outside of raids.
- Allow Spell Reflect to be shared with targets of Intervene.
- Potentially huge utility and further Spell Reflect exploitation since you’ve a better chance of it being usable nearly on cooldown when able to block random-target spells on others as well.
- Consolidate Wrecking Throw into Shattering Throw, with Shattering Throw being chargeable from 400 to 800% of AP (still 6x versus shields) to purge shields (at 1+ second of charge) outright but taking on a longer cooldown if it successfully purges an otherwise unbreakable shield not purgeable through normal means.
- Now we can go for a quick anti-shield nuke and still be able to cheese certain mechanics outright, instead of just one or the other.
- Uncap the number of enemies that can be bound by Champion’s Spear. Have it fully prevent movement outside of the spear, cancelling leap attacks that attempt to exit its domain instead of simply drawing them back and causing knockbacks to hit the edge of that area and stop as surely as if they hit a wall.
- You now allow every AoE knockback to work as an AoE stop while Spear is out AND can outright cheese certain mechanics.
- Uncap Intimidating Shout, with it simply splitting the duration at over 5 targets.
- It’s now a decent AoE stop.
Not sure why we’d need Lust or Freedom or what-have-you. We just need to have a decent damage profile and to be able to make real use of what unique utility we already theoretically offer.
Memories from MoP “banner b*tch” days, anyone? Or, heck, Shadowlands Necro, even?
…I’d really rather not. This would be actively ruinous unless we were overtuned in spite of its potential.

Yeah you right. They’d have to tie it to the sated debuff. This may create an issue as to which CD is better for certain comps. Flat dam buff vs haste? One would be mathematically better and invalidate the other.
It would vastly benefit warrior community and class itself if DPS warriors got bloodlust in form of a shout. It could still be haste or whateve i d k, becuase I don’t see how otherwise it would not become another stackable buff.
A lot of folks here generally jump on such posts with comments like that doesn’t fit with my warrior image without presenting any suggestions that have been thought through.
But I get it, I understand their feelings, but atleast advocate for being the best DPS, always above other classes while being glass cannon, fits well with there theme right
It’d be too useful. If a damage amp like that existed it weighs maybe warriors defacto required for any group. That type of utility would either be nerfed into uselessness or passed out to other classes. We most likely be in the same spot we are now.
Bloodlust and adjustments to our current utility (access, taget cap change for intimidating shout, etc.) Would be more in line imo.
I don’t think anyone’s said Bloodlust wouldn’t fit. Of course it fits. Warrior is the class that most “lusts for blood”. The problem is simply that we already depend on a Lust class for full damage (Shaman) and that 4 other classes already give that buff, so it’d ultimately offer less than just amplifying our own unique utility. Not that we couldn’t do both, technically, but I suspect the latter would already be sufficient so long as our damage profiles are competitive.

Bloodbath, bloodcraze, bloodthirst, bloodborne, cold steel hot blood…

Nah I don’t see it. Give bloodlust to hunters instead.
I would much rather have intimidating shout and its menace talent be combined into one choice talent, so you can have the current shout, or menacing shout (no target cap, knocks them slightly back and CCs them in place for 15 seconds breaks on any damage).
We were like 5th or 6th class to be preferred for Windfury even when it was a thing for almost 5-6 patches. Fury with Annihilator came closes to being a little more useful. I know this because I was part of Mythic raid group, pretty much haven’t been top 3 specs that get most out of it since they made ARMS rage management obsolete in Dragonflight. They did put bandaid to make rage management work but it feels shoddy
Anyway, Skyfury definitely fixed some issues and the perception too, its no longer considered essential by meta, or atleast it pales in comparison to the amount of stops and CC and utility that Shaman brings.
That’s still not a stop so, its no where enough to invite a warrior to an M+ key. Drums are so bad that even for weekly keys we don’t get invited unless its in house group.
I would say they should just remove Bloodlust from all classes and make it a consumable
If Vanilla andies get madge, they should just make Bloodlust a shaman spell that only buffs himself and the 30% Haste on drums Alacrity or something and just only accessible by consumable. Would probably help all classes without it

sorry, when i say CC in place, i dont mean a root, i mean a cower / fear effect (that doesn’t run away) like it currently is
Edit: removing hero / lust from other classes is never going to happen.
