To me its a good thing if someone brings more dps for easier runs. Good for them and good for the team win. Keyword…team.
Now when the 22 (tank and healz other 3) BM hunter comps come up…okay lets now have a guided discussion on nerfs.

I just do better keeping my distance from my target. I tend to mess up melee specs more. I’ve been playing Marksman and just wish I could turn my cute pets into whatever spec I want. Wish they hadn’t taken that away.
I like the option to go without pet also, really enjoying MM.

The problem with BM isn’t their ease of use, the problem with BM is the fact that they have zero downtime. Melee need to run from mechanics and lose attack range, casters need to cancel casts to move. In a perfect world, where melee and casters just get to tunnel a boss, they should do more damage than BM, imo. In a medium movement fight, everyone should be relatively equal, and in high movement, BM should get to shine. Of course, none of this is based in reality from Blizzard’s standpoint, so it is what it is. Turns out balancing around an ideal isn’t super feasible.

Yea, as of right now, there is only 1 bm hunter in the top 20 groups. Meanwhile 19/20 have a dh.

I prioritize raiding. I wasnt performing on mage at a mythic level and swapped to rogue. So yes I spent my focus on grinding gear for mythic progression over pushing IO and still was around your IO
Controversial. Most classes can be dumbed down to 4 buttons, but to play them well and to play them at a high level there is certainly no easy spec.
Take WW vs BM, on paper BM seems far easier, but WW is in fact easier to fully utilise.
As an example I got my Mage Tower done on WW, BM has the exact same fight, but I struggled with and never got BM done even though I like to think I am a better BM player.
Like with WW you can interrupt much more than BM, so with BM if you want to min/max you need to ‘interrupt’ with your freezing trap or intimidation.
Just because one spec does more damage with less buttons does not make them actually easier to play.
BM hasn’t been top dps since BFA. Let them smash the meters for a patch.

My dk killed norm sark and I was carrying damage with 2 bm hunters in group. Fun part. No one ran logs. Now multiply that by how many people play wow.

The new builds do in fact make BM braindead now thuogh as it removed having to maintain barb stacks
