Right, i think taking away mind sear helps us not be such a turret. They just need to buff the damage a little bit on psychic link. Theres a little variance in builds right now, but mostly the same. I like how they made mind flay and mind spike dmg pretty much the same so you can choose either style. But still benefits from managing DP on multiple targets, etc.

Spoilers, I don’t run logs. Unless you are basing your opinion off the little info raiderio gives. Considering that doesnt show damage or remotely show skill.

Yea the biggest difference is what? Void eruption vs wings? You still go 3 idol build for single and aoe if im not mistaken.
I normally only m+ so I’m foggy on single builds.
Me as well. I definitely like the mindflay style over spike. I feel its more consistent? Idk if that makes sense? It could be having the channel over hard cast lol.
Im just glad that are emphasizing on multidoting with psychic link.

Boomy is difficult mostly because of how clunky their rotation can feel. Once you figure out the what and whens, its cake. I promise haha.
If it makes you feel better, surv is my kryptonite. I cant seem to build the muscle memory for it. Super clunky spec imo. And I run enhance xD
I’ve literally never tried surv, but I think I need to take your advice on boomkin and spend some time at the practice dummy. My wife plays boomkin too and I feel bad because i can give her decent advice on every other class… except surv hunter

My apologies then. Was mainly just skimming the topic, saw what you said, and wanted to point out what I’ve noticed about the typical WoW player.

Mastermind VS Screams of the Void as well, plus a lot of times in Mythic+ i dont take Mental Decay, because i find i dont Mind Flay as much as you would think. I tend to get a lot of procs/ needing to move, so its relegated to unless i have 2 stacks of insanity i rarely spend it. Plus other little minor changes here and there for survivability, etc.

There’s a reason BM gets recommended to new players in all the threads.
It’s low risk high reward compared to other specs and it has a fairly simple rotation.
Nobody is recommending outlaw or arcane mage to new players.
Those specs are slightly more complex and requires perfect execution to pull off properly.
BM does not suffer from the things most of the other specs suffer from.
Is it the EASIEST?, well that can be subjective, but it’s definitely in the top 3 or top 4 beginner friendly specs out of 40?..

I play the easiest spec and even with my best keyboard clicking I got a gray parse in LFR of all places

i thought clicking abilities when they light up was the way to play
i also use all my damage boosting avatars and the other one on CD
that playstyle doesn’t apply to all specs unfortunately
