It’s too cartoonish even for WoW, they look like you hired a teenager who likes to draw with actual potential, but nothing glorious. They did a better job with the Pandaren, but the new class being specific only to the new race, I’ll probably never really play it all the much, maybe if I’m bored and just wanna play around with the new gliding mechanic for the race, (which is really good and I do like it A LOT).
Some of you have heard this before, not exactly sure where I remember this analogy myself, someone can remind me, but do you remember how the first Sonic the Hedgehog trailer looked off because the sonic they made was weird, gross, and unappealing, so they redesigned him before the movie came out and it was much better? Well, I really wish that blizzard would do the same thing. And why do I have to have a human form as my alternate form? I’m not a lore expert but dude… undead drake? That would be cool…
Thanks for sharing, but I disagree. I think the Drakthyr look amazing and wish they would open some of their customizations up to elves/humans.
I also probably won’t play them often but only because they are limited to evokers. If they opened up other classes I would instantly switch to drakthyr.
It feels a bit jank to play to be honest but overall it’s okay. I wish it didn’t hide your weapon when you’re in drac form. That’s actually my biggest complaint.
I actually like that it hides your weapon if it’s one that would otherwise be on your back. It would be ideal if they had a toggle so those who want the weapon to show can have it show, and those who don’t, can have them not show.
If you really take a close look this is really simulator to the undead/worgen model the way they walk with that little hop.
…it’s cute…and it’s different…finally dps get a new hero class…and they get a whole storyline for them selves just like the worgen did when they first came out…just feels like a mini mage fire/frost
To quote The Dude, ‘Well that’s just like, your opinion man.’
Personally, I love them. I’m very glad they didn’t just make them look like humans/elves with horns and wings. They look like a race meant to fly, long and lean.
The game has always been kind of cartoony, and I think the direction they went with art has kept the game from ever looking too dated despite being as old as it is.
yeah…its a bit juvenile, for sure. Feels about like FF14 and that anime crap to me.
I thought dragon race would be gruff and burly and mean…not more of those dainty tea sipping ‘vampires’ lol
