Hi guys I’ve been working on this video for almost 2 months and wanted to give my thoughts about Arenas playing over the years. I hope you enjoy it and feedback is appreciated!

Thank you means a lot  You don’t even wanna know much /played I have across my entire account with all my alts combined LOL

So I liked the video. I’m just gonna kinda stream of thought respond here. Don’t take it personally, if I were writing a paper, I’d do review and all that. So here goes…

I just do random/epic BGs and stuff like that. I play a lot too, cause I usually have wow open while on my other systems. Been playing for years, just like you. I pvp everyday I play, usually epic BGs since a few years now (used to do more random bgs/wpvp).

So a couple of things. Some of your shots showed your toons in various parts of the wow world. The gnome warrior blade storming on the mountain, the DH back flipping off the edge, etc. These are some of the things that make wow different/better than a stand in the lobby/room and Q to pvp game: a world in which to do other stuff than just pvp.

In wow you create a character, level them, make a story and pvp. The effort put in means a bit.

This is far more attractive to someone like me than standing in a lobby looking at some toons in various skins and waiting on Q’s. So, I don’t think your free to play, or side stuff are going to work. More specifically they will never work for me. I don’t think I am alone. I don’t play those other games because I like the DnD world feel AND the pvp. I need both, or it ain’t gonna happen.

How to appeal to the instant gradification pvpers? yeah, idk.

I like watching AWC. I know the best pvpers in wow are found in high end arena. I love fighting very good players in random/epic BGs and WPvP (when I do WPvP, which ain’t much with the faction imbalances lately). Even when I lose it’s a great time.

I’m not certain how to fix Arena. Blizz didn’t want, to my understanding, for a very long time, for rated to be solo Q. But it is now. So 3v3 suffers.

idk how to fix that. But, I’ll never play the plunderstorm like games or cod or overwatch or whatever. Maybe others would? Maybe it would attract new players? But idk if I care. I don’t think I’d want to Q with 'em if it were a seperate game. So, I am kinda okay with how things are.

I compelettly agree with your addon points. I believe that Blizz agrees as well. I hope the PVE changes they mentioned find their way into pvp. I think if they do, there will be some posts on the pvp forums about how unfair it is that the crutches are gone. I don’t use, so…well I agree with the addon points.

Anyway, very good video. Just figured I’d add some feedback as a regular pvp smoe who will continue to regular pvp smoe until the servers shutdown or I do.

i like ur point about the contrast between outplaying vs looking at omnibar.

it feels like outplaying is moreso just doing what you’re supposed to with the least gaps. with the information availability and high skill floor of the playerbase, it never feels like ur outplaying someone as much as just making less mistakes
