The disparity between Crafters and Gatherers in Acuity earning is ridiculous and a clear oversight

Someone did the math on Reddit and determined at the current rate of Acuity acquisition it would take up to 28 WEEKS for a dual gatherer to obtain the blue tools and items needed for their respective professions,

Where as, for instance, My crafter main has already obtained 2 blue tools, and managed to buy all 3 of the books offering Knowledge Points, which would literally impossible for a gatherer to do at this point in the expansion.

The disparity is so blatant and terrible that I am drawn to believe that it could be nothing less than a very obvious oversight and mistake on the teams part, And I hope very much so that there will be adjustments made for gatherers.

Dual gathering is a very common profession combo for many players, A lot of people dual gather as an alt char, like I intend to do. But also, some people do it as their main because they dont want to get into crafting but still want to make some gold.

Why punish these players?

You are indirectly killing off dual gathering for a lot of people who are aware of this disparity… I am currently shuffling through ALL of the professions to get up as much acuity as I can before I settle on my gathering professions for my Druid Alt, Which should NOT be a thing.

Players should NOT be forced to shuffle through professions for scraps of acuity in order to be able to afford 1 blue gathering tool and also get the KP books in a reasonable time frame.

The fact that profession shuffling exists at all and is the most efficient way of earning acuity in less than 28 weeks shows exactly how broken this system is currently.

Please fix the disparity for gatherers.

Shocking but also not shocking that this is happening again. It was already a bit of an issue in DF because dual gatherers only had 2 weeklies which granted Artisans’ Consortium rep instead of up to 4, so the free weekly mettle scaled up far slower. We were able to overcome it because you could use mettle from a crafting character to make their tools if you crafted your own.

Yep. I feel pretty much forced into not being able to dual gather if I want any acuity in a normal time frame

I’m the opposite and dropped all my professions to dual gather on every toon.

Absolutely hate this system as a whole since they introduced it in DF. (“Heard you guys wanted professions to be more fun, so how about taking half the expansion to fully level them?!”) Figured since I can’t optimize my main gatherer with tools, I’ll just gather on every single alt and maybe it’ll make up for it a bit. Also will save spending an obscene amount of gold just to level any profession to 100 right now.

But seriously, for the love of the old gods, fix this. My druid has thousands and thousands of mettle left over that I never used in DF and is completely acuity starved for half a year in TWW.

Your guy that has 2 tools probably has not bought recipes at all Id wager. Meanwhile my tailor has bags recipes for every professions to get. Look at it this way: Your gatherers will be buying those AA bags long before the crafters will have gotten around to buying all the recipes they can get! And then there’s the tools!

Yeah my main has bis black smithing gear now with all 3 acuity books purchased at 200+ knowledge. When I dropped mining for enchanting my acuity just skyrocketed.

Gatherers are just forgotten about in terms of acuity. In general acuity is not well thought out this xpac.

I won’t even consider going dual gatherer until at least my first gathering profession has all its tools, and I have enough acuity for at least 2 tools on the other gathering profession.

Running as Ench/Herb on my druid has enabled me to buy ALL of the KP books, and get 2 of the tools so far, guranteed anyone who has been dual gathering from the start is likely still far behind me, and I started my gatherer a week or more late into the release.

maybe, but my herb/miner lets me get ore while herbing… can’t beat that
