The difficulty of world content is unacceptably easy

I got this far. My rotation is literally frostbolt frostbolt frostbolt and they die before they get to me

Jesus, this is the same forum regulars just telling everyone that they’re wrong again.

It’s more like they say you’re wrong, but they couldn’t even handle doing it themselves.

Once again.

I am saying both are incredibly easy.

If you want to say vanilla was slightly harder. I don’t care. But I won’t put it on some pedestal if difficulty when it was also brain dead.

Were there harder quests? Sure. But they were optional and easily skipped.

Make it harder and you will lose hundreds of thousands if not a million players on the bottom end of the talent list. Why? Because they will eventually get a quest they can’t finish, not able to get the next one and they will be dead in the water. They will have no choice but to cancel their subscription.

When that happens do you want your subscription fee to double so the game doesn’t go belly up? Is making the game harder for everyone THAT important to you?

Yeah, it was boring as sin and at no point was there anything resembling difficulty. Bugs, sure. Enemies shooting through walls, absolutely. Difficulty? Nope, just the same autoattacking mob, bow mob, or caster mob ad infinitum, occasionally with a swim speed modifier.

Literally describing the boring nature of Vanilla wow leveling, where warrior’s primary rage spender was to make autoattack deal more damage and spend rage on swing, or make autoattack deal more damage but spend rage now.

Well, yes and no.

If you were very careful to not aggro a second mob, check every mobs level before attacking and never traveled into a zone with higher level mobs it was.

But if you leveled on content at or above your level it was pretty easy to die if a single mob patrolled into you.

Ah, attunements disagree with you.

The only time world content was ever not easy for me was when I started playing in 2009. I hadn’t ever played video games, and I was totally clueless. The “difficulty” went away quickly, and hasn’t ever come back.

I still enjoy the game, but it could be harder in outdoor world content, and I wouldn’t complain.

I did it myself.

I leveled originally through TBC as a resto shaman because I didn’t know what I was doing

Go away. Your kind ruined Cata difficulty for everyone.

That’s the thing most people glaze over, the game is harder if you’re new and don’t know how to play just yet. Once you do, it’s a breeze regardless of xpac.
People be grasping at straws.

That sucks, when you are too good at a game. Suffering from success

Except in current version, it’s easy even if you’re new to it and don’t know how to play.

This is the biggest piece of malarkey I have ever read on these forums. WoW world content did not keep pace with the skill of modern gamers. Look at the popularity of Elden Ring.

I think the game would attract more players if they actually made leveling have some teeth.

I seriously don’t get how people can advocate for a huge chunk of the game to just be completely face roll.

The honest truth is the current developers are too lazy to tackle this leveling problem. It would take a massive effort to revamp leveling, and we all know that isn’t going to happen.

They are going to continue to put out 9 new dungeons 3 new raids and 3 Timeless isle zones.

So you want to make it slightly more difficult to screw over new players, then cry when no new players join?

Cata difficulty was not hard people just failed at simple things like CC and LoS. Instead they want to gather up all the mobs and AoE them down like we were doing by the end of Wrath.

Better the chafe falls from the wheat than remain in the bread. The more of a difficulty curve players get the earlier in the game, the better off they will be at the end game.

Huge disagree. EVE Online is the perfect example of that. The learning curve is a mountain, and it at most at any day has 20k people playing. ever.
Currently, there is 19,983 players.
