I’ll say one version is better than the other without any hesitation whatsoever. You literally couldn’t pay me to play retail at this point. Well… that’s a figure of speech, of course.
Its not quite the same though, because not everyone is always on the forums and AWARE that people are complaining, and once blizzard announce changes, its already too late to make them change it usually, because its already in the pipeline
Blizzard does indeed very slow reaction time. For some reason they always wait till X.5 patches to make changes. Shadowlands is the prime example of that.
As per forums piece, well, the platform is here.
Or blizzard should stop listening to people who want to ruin the game through QoL “improvements”.
That’s subjective.
I think RDF is a good tool and it will improve the game, but you think it won’t.
Meanwhile I pug and you only run with your guild.
And not to side track this conversation, yes, RDF was added for a reason. History repeats itself. RDF was added 15 years to solve exact problems we have today in Classic.
Blizzard takes in feedback. They think about it. Not everything we say gets “approved”. It only really gets into the game if Blizzard themselves agree with the notion.
I can see both sides. I played Retail for a couple months before Wrath Classic launched to learn death knights, which I think was a reasonable thing to do
i don’t see any difference between wotlk now & shadowlands, both was filled with people at the launch, people who did quest could see a lot of players question in same zone same area, people who run spam dungeon did that in both Sl/wotlkc to lvl and bg’s was the same in both games “people play just for honor”, for pve people farmed dungeons in both expansions to get gear to be ready for the raids, raids in both wotlkc/sl is nothing but arcade game while watching your timers as you already know what’s happening, and the pvp in both sl/wotlkc it takes you the same amount of seconds to burst a player from 100% to zero while healing is being OP in both versions, and btw shadowlands had proper world pvp than tbcc or wotlk due the maw zone and when it comes to gameplay all wow expansions have same system and people play to do the same things, in both sl/wotlkc you pull everything and faceroll that’s what happend in tbc and every single expansion, oh and it’s almost the same way to play both expansions except that some classes got revamped all over the way to made people get a fake feeling that game was changed, as for the environment they just kept adding new zones and i almost forgot to say the most common thingy between classic and retail is that each expansions bring million at start and more than half of those players does quit in the first 3months.
TBH if you was hardcore player in every expansion, you would realize that every single expansion is he same for both end game/top PVE-ers & pvp’ers too, and if you’re casual player then you should be aware that both game be fun, infact retail can bring more fun with more options especially if you have real friends playing with you there.
By this logic, Destiny and WoW are the same.
Classic WoTLK is more retail than WoTLK has ever been with lootboxes being handed for free to everyone like this.
Plus they’re handing out emblems of heroism to everyone who complete chain quests. Literally handing epics for free.
