The devs are basically YOLOing WoW. The AH change should been tested much more before it was shoved on us,

If materials aren’t offer on low pop realms. Blizzard should have merged those markets. Instead of totally wrecking the game and the entire economy. Now the AH is run by bots and cancel scanners which is bad,

yeah it’s a giant mess but being honest…I expected it. We need new developers and a better QA team, if they even have a QA team lol…

Not the first time Blizzard did a inept change. There was nothing wrong with the AH I saw no reason to change it.

A lot of people are happy with the AH changes overall. This is a giant win for casual AH consumers, especially those on low-pop servers.

But the AH being constantly broken now is a completely different story.

Seems to be the current trend. Seems content is being rushed because they know their existing content cadence isn’t good for the $$ ask in today’s economy.

Look at Hearthstone…has terrible recent reviews on the app store because of rushed patches that make the game a buggy mess.

Blizzard was known for quality. Was.

Just went to restock flasks before a day of keys. No AH.
Blizzard, please revert the changes to the AH if you cannot figure this stuff out. Re-implement once you’ve actually tested it. Thoroughly.
At this point it’s just exhausting. I lost listings at some point during this whole mess. I don’t even have the energy to submit a ticket and then go through the usual runaround with the GMs who eventually say there’s nothing they can do.

i have an idea. we right up a formal list of complaints nail it to the door like a god daym protestant

You going to go to the HQ with that protest note?

it was an idea and the only thing a paladin like i would know to do.

No its not ! I like the auction house now I have made over 500k selling all my mats leave it alone .

I’m really happy with the merge, just not the AH being down and having problems.

But the merge has allowed me to finally find obscure mats/items I couldn’t get before. I can also finally sell less common mats and have buyers, instead of just giving up and selling them to vendors. (I’m not even on a low-pop realm, either)

I love new AH. Been training up old professions with good prices on materials. We’re basically seeing DF systems in development, they’re using 9.2 live as 10.0 beta for certain things. In DF, the normal materials are intended to be low cost, and your gathering money will come from the new rare drops they’re adding to gathering. These are amazing changes. They might have been better to wait until a little later in season 4 to tackle these engineering challenges, but there may have been some logistical challenge forcing their hand.

Just see this for what it is, a harbinger of things to come for DF. I predict there will not be a beta test for DF because releasing it live is now the same thing, and if folks got a peek at what sort of crap is to come and there’d be another mass exodus.

They want to make a few sales before folks see what quality DF will be.

You heard it here first: There will be NO beta dor DF.

Flip side. Its physically impossible to have a QA team to fully test an MMO.

And with the AH? Its impossible to have an in house QA team to fully test it. Its just not feasible.

I am not excusing what happened. Only that what people ask for in this regard is basically impossible.

And you have your phd in what? Of course, they could hire a software test engineer who would code a few load tests. It is quite obvious they didn’t even run it before releasing it live. It is inept apathy, and any other company would fire folks that released something this bad.

I feel bad for paying subscribers that will have to be test engineers for the new work order system. Remember exploit early and ezploit often.

To fix all this chaos, Blizzard needs to implement Buy orders.
Without that, it is impossible to fix the auction.

Ion likes to experiment on the playerbase. They figure risking alienating a large swath of the playerbase is worth it if they can collect data which may or may not ever be useful.

This dovetails nicely with with the current QA motto, which seems to be “If too many players quit over this, we’ll fix it in a year or two.”

You fool, you ARE the QA team.
