I was running Normal Desolate host and I killed the boss too quickly (?) causing the boss to glitch out. The boss died but the fight didn’t end so I tried to reload which did not work. The next step I tried was jumping off the ledge and dying to reset the fight. Also nothing. I spawned at the previous boss but when I ran to the Desolate Host the instance wall was still up as if the fight was active and trash mobs continued to periodically spawn. I tried to teleport out of the raid and then fly back and reenter but the wall was still up by the Host spawn and I still could not restart the fight. My fourth attempt was to exit the game completely and even that did not work. I was completely locked out of Desolate Host due to this bug. I know it is old content, but this is a boss that requires placing one of the artifacts before you can reach the final bosses of the raid and not being able to properly “kill” this one to place the artifact means the raid is locked out due to the bug. At least mount drop boss isn’t locked behind Host…
Same problem here running for transmog pieces now i can’t pass since this boss is bugged… Fix it Blizzard!

There have been problems with this boss for like six YEARSSSSSS BLIZZARD PLEASE FIX IT. Its insane that THIS IS STILLL AN ISSSSSUEEEEEEEEE , ITS LITERALLY A RAID BOSS THATS INTEGRAL TO GETTING TO THE FINAL BOSS AND PROGRESSING THROUGH THE RAID??? HOW IN THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT CAN THIS STILL GO UNFIXED???FIX THE GARBAGE RAID
STILL AN ISSUE ON ALL DIFFICULTIES! If you solo kill the engine before desolate host spawns you will bug the fight. Even sometimes after his spawn ive had him just despawn and bug it. So frustrating!!
Well, I encountered this problem today. Thought I could get the boss to reset by hearthing out of the instance and “resetting” the instance, but nope. Still bugged.
Desolate Host is 1 of 2 bosses I need for Normal ToS transmog.
