Kinda reminds me of Sigils from DHs. Just super bad mechanically, as it takes too long to deal damage. Damage is also mediocre, at best, and requires 3 talent points to be remotely usable.
It surprises me that Doom doesn’t even have a execute mechanic, like Shadowburn.
Wouldn’t be better to have a “Succubus summoning” spell? One that is instant cast, it’s restricted to one per target and deals the same amount of damage over the same duration? A “DoT demon” of sorts?
Just replace it with a talent that gives grimoire: felguard a second charge. This is perfectly balanced and we don’t need to discuss it further.
indeed, it was also the worst talent of that talent tier… and the proc chance was only 5%. I probably never saw it happen even once.
Fun fact: The version of “Doom” that existed through the entirety of BFA was actually bugged and would never summon that 5% doomguard.
Since it was a dead talent anyway, few people actually bothered to test if the doomguard was real, and the bug was never fixed since Blizzard don’t really cares.

It proc’d so rarely that I remember asking “Where that come from?”
Man I forgot it even exists, didn’t even talent into it.
That was a shadow priest talent, surrender to madness

i think you are refering to the ritual of doom that gather 5 players and one of them dies… its a different spell

It needs to be higher in the tree and not require 4 talent points to make it good (one extra in either Inner Demons or Demonic Calling, then 3 more for Doom itself plus the extra damage). Or it should just be baseline like it was in Legion with a choice node that makes it either do more damage the more demons you have out or makes it apply to everything hit by Hand of Gul’dan.
Simply making Corruption instant and adding a chance to generate Soul Shards might work too.
