The Death of Rastakhan is a Sweet Victory for the Horde

misss the days of ashbringer lore in classic that was good lore…sip

If you think he is on your side, I have a bridge I would love to sell you. He servers death, not the Horde…

I love Bwonsamdi as a character, but as a Horde member, he seems more of a threat than an asset.

he abandons Rastakhan during the fight cause he cares more about his own well being.

I forgot he got kidnapped in MoP. Thats my bad. I haven’t done alliance mop in years. Regardless there is zero reason he should be anywhere near as strong as he is especially since he was hardly trained. Im pretty sure in the twilight highlands intro or whatever anduin is a total pansy training with varian. Some quest chain from cata.

he went to raid onyxias laid alongside varian too and met baine

Talanji isn’t a Mary Sue. She has neither heterochromia or angel wings.

Talanji isnt the Mary Sue, Anduin is however.

Nope, he left in MoP and went on his own adventure, got himself crushed by Garrosh at the end of it. Alliance players help him here and there while Horde try to capture him at one point. Thats how he became Friends with Baine. He has trained under Valeen, the strongest priest most of his life.

except bwonsamdi hates sylvanas and wants nothing to do with her because she upsets the balance and keeps what she kills

also the whole reason why sylvanas wanted the zandalari, their fleet was destroyed

actually I really liked rastakhan and the way he was written. He had flaws like an actual person. He wasn’t all seeing. He was even victim to his own hubris. As for as in game WoW storytelling goes his story is arguably one of the best we have had.

He was trained to use the light by Velen.

So telling her dad that the blood trolls is bad news suddenly means she’s a mary sue? Recognizing that an isolated kingdom that isn’t as powerful as it once was needs external allies in the current day and age is mary sue?

I don’t understand how anyone could consider Anduin a Mary Sue. Like, what has he ever done that didn’t end in abject failure?

He told the Alliance to play nice with the Horde during MoP and got captured by said horde. Then in warcrimes he argues for mercy for Garrosh and arguably thats how WoD happens (along with other characters having no balls). He convinced his father to work with the horde in legion and that gets Varian killed.

Since then he has taken over as High King where the Alliance has lost every battle with the Horde to date. He has himself shown very little talent in combat and very little control over his generals and allies. In the most recent cinematic involving him, he admits to defeat at the hands of the Horde/Sylvanas and has to turn to Saurfang to possibly turn the tide. He has failed everyone. none of this is to say that I dont like him. I am excited to see his future, but in no way is he a Marry Sue. he is almost the opposite. He sucks at everything despite being destined for greatness.
