The Deadmines debate(debacle?)

If you put 2-3 times more VP reward for the dungeon it might be reconsider at this rate.

It might get better in the future with more gear people will simply faceroll through it… but after all doesnt really seems that the classic sod team isnt invested in making any interesting changes dungeon wise or class wise so far… so we’re all stuck with a terrible dungeon that some people dont want to run at all…

Easier solution: keep leaving Deadmines runs.

Not because i agree with you, but 75%+ of the time we have your replacement before you finish the loading screen from leaving and 95%+ of the time we finish the instance before your deserter debuff fades.

Your suggestion is to keep suffering because of bad design. Get outta here if you’re just gonna troll people.

keep suffering

bad design

its everyone elses fault but mine!

The consequences of your poor choices are yours to bear. Enjoy that 30 minute Deserter :^)

Like I said you’re a bored troll. Go do something productive.

I am. Im teaching you the value of accepting responsibility for and the consequences of your choices.

You dont wanna run DM? Ok, dont. Leave every single time you get it. Your replacement along with the 4 of us who didnt bail will be getting started as you load back into Org/SW and will be finishing before you can Q again.

The only one youre hurting is yourself. The only one hurting you is you.

Unless of course, that player has something else they would rather do other than a drawn out 5 man heroic with a low reward vs time spent ratio.

I personally find spending 30"ish" minutes farming a hyper spawn mining location to be a better use of time than running Deadmines. Or maybe even doing a random battle ground or two.

Point is, running heroics isn’t the ONLY thing people can do on their characters. So saying he’s punished for leaving, is not completely true since there are so many other things you can do.

He’s inferring from my other post that I’m somehow TRYING to intentionally slow a group down by leaving. Exactly as you said there’s so much else to do. I’ve been taking a 30 minute leaver penalty every day on my DK since I get no valor reward specifically queuing, so when my boss doesn’t drop loot I clear to Rajh then leave, the replacement tank gets his 240 bonus for a single boss fight. Sucks to be getting 30 minute penalty after doing everything else but it is how it is even when you’re trying to be nice about it.

20-25 minutes instead of 15-20. Oh lawdy whatever will we do.

Keep leaving Deadmines groups please.

How is deadmines bad design? This is an mmo, the devs didn’t design the game to be blasted through or for the expansion to be on an accelerated timeline.

Every boss is perfectly designed and the rp adds flavor to the lore of the game.

I’m all for doing big pulls and blasting through dungeons but that is a gameplay choice and not a design failure if a dungeon takes slightly longer.

More like 35-40 minutes in most RDF groups and not fun on top of it.

Mostly that the RP is stupid and annoying especially after one time through.

So, uh… Can we whine about Grim Batol next, since it generally takes far longer than Dead Mines?

Oh, right, these are fabricated issues by weird trolls. Carry on.

Not sure what Grim Batol groups you’ve been in, but the runs I do are quite fast. Not even close as long as a DM run.

I’ve done deadmines many times since Cata re-release and I have never had an issue finishing a run. As DPS, as a tank and as a healer. I don’t mind taking a second to explain mechanics to the brain dead people in my group. We finish it quite easily every time. Even the Spanish players that are arguably the most brain dead of all manage to get through it when I’m around.

If pvers get deadmines removed then I want BG blacklisting back so we can get strand of the ancients deleted (again).

And then follow through to delete seething shore in the future, thanks.

Only solution I can think of is to skip the nightmare phase completely. That is absolute waste of time.

I think something like i hate to say this but Call of Duty where you get a choice of 2 and have the group vote. It would keep that random dungeon tool with the ability to choose the dungeon you go to.

At that point they might as well just go with as has been suggested removing the VP from random dungeons and letting you get it from any dungeon completion.
