The dead servers being retired means we’ll have room for WotLK Era servers, right?

with these retired servers this frees up enough servers for tbc era and wotlk era, 1 pvp 1 pve server for vanilla tbc and wotlk would be amazing a real era community could form if we had these realms

The servers are vitual, they’re not “real” hardware assets, there is always room for as many servers as you want. the only real demand is put on by the gross number of players on a given realm over a certain point, and the gross number of players total across all platforms.

Layers and Sharding eliminate the first, so basically it comes down to total players.

Doubt. Not enough.

Honestly, they should change how they are retiring those servers. If anything, they could be Fresh and Era TBCC servers.

All the more reason why there should be a couple Era servers for each expansion.

Exactly, there is no reason not to have them.

Wotlk private servers have always been waaay more popular than tbc and vanilla …nice try though.

theres enough people to still play classic era and tbc and wotlk require less people

The comment is in reference to TBC era I thought? I literally said this.

If you mean permanent wrath realms, the crusade realms will probably be it. What troubles me is that crusade is not being allowed to have ANY realms to preserve its legacy. If classic can have so many, why can’t crusade have ONE? They need to crank out a few new crusade realms and let people transfer to them if you want to stay in crusade forever.

looks like were are just getting fresh wrath servers lol

The question is, will they stay in Wrath or move beyond?

only time will tell i guess i dont see them developing new content for classic so progress is the only answear i guess. its just so hard to imagine they cant give us 1 wrath and 1 tbc server
