You don’t enable attackers because if you demonstrate their tactics work they’ll move from Asmongold to the next person or people they don’t like. You want Asmon to leave? Too bad, he’s not going to. And you’ll have to deal with it.
And once you’ve dealt with your feelings we can focus on the actual cause of the problem, which is the DDOS attacker. Or you can not deal with your feelings, it matters little to me.
Do streamers have insurance plans, 401k, stocks, etc etc? Will they still be streaming into their 40s, 50s, up until the age of retirement?

The silly part is when he was DDoSing yesterday, Asmon gained a crap ton of viewers and got who knows how much money in Twitch prime subs. If that was really his plan it sure did benefit Asmon more than it hurt him.

This is not at all the same as asking people to lock their doors or stay off the roads…those are both preventative measures. You’re asking that a person (the victim) stop doing his job (be punished) so that you can play the game, rather than focus on the fact that the attacker is the one doing wrong.

I have no feelings at all towards any streamers, never cared for them and personally don’t support them at all. I pay money to play this game…not to follow people and be a fan boy.
He is an entertainer. It isn’t really traditional work but it is certainly his job and how he makes his living. It doesn’t matter if you consider it work or not.

Asmongold is no victim here. Whether he plays WoW or not, his stream viewership has shot up since the DDoS attack yesterday. This is more $$$ for him.
Make no mistake, he is being targeted, and is the victim. The fact that he has ultimately benefited is the failure of the Attacker.
Maybe we should just ban Asmongold, so the rest of us can play. The sacrifice of one for the good of many.
