There, I said it. I still have many friends in game that use GSE and a key repeater (GSE is allowed, but the key repeater isnt.)… thousands and thousands of people use that combo… so if you want to add a 1 button key, for the love of god make a post that day it goes live, anyone using any key repeater software will get you instantly banned (or suspended as a warning)
Of course that’s just my opinion, I could be wrong.
The game has hold to cast and you could use something like the numlock trick to hold a key without holding it yourself I assume. Also doable with a macro in any keyboard/mouse software that sends a key-down event without a key-up.
The OBR is a terrible idea, but if they’re going ahead with it anyhow it should absolutely be a toggle. A half-measure with placebo button presses is just silly.
I believe it was Ron Swanson who said that skim milk is just water lying about being milk, and that it should either be milk or be nothing.
How does a key-repeater help with a sequence-macro? Sequence macros do not execute faster if you spam-click the assigned macro button… the next spell in sequence is still subject to the global CD timer.
You make it sound like there’s an exploit there, but I don’t get it (doesn’t provide an unfair advantage as far as I can tell).
Why does it even matter if they use a key repeater instead of just spamming one key or scrolling the mouse wheel? Why would Blizzard or anyone else care? The result and performance will be the same and they’ll save some body and hardware strain.
I dont think stuff like this is even bannable anymore in the sense that the game can detect it. Mouse and keyboard software are totally legit and have ways to spam click things.
