- 0/1 Defend the Dawnbreaker
Running solo with NPC party Companions. Everything went fine until we defeated Anub’ikkaj. A minor boss down in Mereldar. After defeating this mini boss we get the message to Defend the Dawnbreaker.
Once up top back aboard the Dawnbreaker, Captain Garrick, the NPC tank, stops taking lead. I waited around a minute or three to see if something else was supposed to happen. NADA. Nothing. Yes I’m still in the mode where the NPC’s take lead. I’ve never ran this instance before.
I tried swapping modes between for the Dungeon Assistance feature where I take lead then swap back to the Follower taking lead. Captain Garrick says “Follow me” but still just sits there on a mount doing nothing.
When I initiate combat there in front of the boss none of my NPC companions are attacking. Captain Garrick the main tank stays mounted and just follows me around.
The strange thing is there wasn’t orange sword icon up on the Dawnbreaker like there were on the other 2 ships I had to get back to. It’s seems like there’s something else we’re supposed to do down on the ground but AGAIN Captain Garrick, my main tank Companion NPC, has stopped giving suggestions and has stopped leading the group.
I need this Dungeon for a Quest and I am at my wits end.
UPDATE: After exiting the instance and resetting, we got back to Rasha’nan and the tank NPC actually attacked the boss. Two other Followers died in the first 30 seconds, and we wiped. After releasing and going back to the boss the bug kicked in and the NPCs will not attack the boss. Again I tried swapping between me leading and having the NPC lead. Still nothing. When I initiate combat Captain Garrick stays mounted and none of the other NPCs attack. I’m on Normal difficulty.
