The Data is out and Alliance is becoming the #1 PvP Faction

The data is out for top PvPers in each bracket and Alliance dominates at the top. Players with a rating of above 2200 is 60% Alliance, 40% Horde.

This marks a huge shift in demographics like I haven’t seen since Every Man For Himself was busted. Not sure what brought about the change, my assumption was perhaps the allure of increased rewards from engaging in PvP due to the increase in honor gains, especially now since honor is required for so many upgrades.

I have a toon on Alliance and Horde, and I will say, honor gains on Alliance is MUCH faster than my Horde toon.

Now, when you bring the ratings down a bit and read the data for overall participation 1800 and above, Horde takes over again with 60% representation vs 40%. And further down without taking rank into consideration Horde makes up 63% of people participating in 3v3 arena PvP.

I expect with the increased amount of honor gain, combined with the representation of Alliance as “top” pvpers, that we will see more faction balancing happen. As it is, casual PvP queues have gone from 12 minutes to 6 minutes on Horde side, and Alliance has started to creep up a tiny bit albeit slowly, to around 3-4 minutes.

Once things settle, and factions start to balance even more, I expect Alliance will start losing their benefits. We’ve already seen a decrease in their War Mode benefit (30%, to 25%, to 15%), so I have to assume honor reward increases will follow. Who knows.

Huh, you’re telling me humans are popular in the unironic “just trinket the cheap shot, bro” meta? Crazy stuff

Spacegoats are my favorite. I love their story even if they generally not good in pvp.

Uh huh… I’m gonna need some links right now. Because right now, I’m not taking anything for face value.

arenamate . net

i tried to post direct link, blizz blocked it

Yeah I like playing what I actually like playing as, not what gives me an slight advantage in game. Most people here though will tell you unless you play orc or human you are wasting your time, all fotm re rollers.

The Human racial is so overrated. It’s nowhere near as good as it used to be. I would argue Void Elves are better for casters, as well as Night Elves for Shadowmeld.

You know what would be cool. Is if racials being used or proccing and in some cases they made some kind of announcement. Like lightforged racial ," Light judge this foe" in some epic voice!

Give it a few months. When we get closer to the end of the season and people notice a dramatic difference in rating required for r1 between ally and horde a large chunk will come back horde.

Cross faction arena rewards suck. can we please get x faction arena teams.

Pro-tip: honor gains are way faster from arena then BG’s, which don’t care what faction you are :+1:

i wish more of my friends list was ally

being horde sucks

outplayed lol

Be the change you want to see

For what its worth I’m playing casual PvP on my ally today, and they still suck. Actually thinking of transferring her horde. The experience is totally different. I find ally players to be toxic AF, at least on Sargeras anyway
