The Dark Portal Quest Not Showing up.

I'm at a standstill.

I have completed the WoD intro, Spoke to King Varian..but then nothing.

I read you are supposed to get an Automatic quest called The Dark Portal. I didn't. I read you can get it off the quest boards in major cities, its not there..

Either I am bugged. Or I am missing a Step!

Any Ideas?

Same problem. I opened a ticket and the customer support that responded only gave me a bunch of links, none of which resolved the issue. I am now stuck too, after talking to the King. So angry and frustrated!

same problem too. no dark portal quest, when i try talking to Khadgar, all he says is "at this point we are just waiting for an opening. once the stream of enemies abates, we make our move" none of my characters received the quest.

I have the same proplem. I have opened a ticket and have not got an answer yet, just wondering if you found a solution?

you have to walk through the portal not fly, seriously it works, it is a no mount zone

I am having the same issue. I haven't tried walking through because I could like to actually get the quest and see the content.

I did try to walk though the portal and it didn't work. So I logged off for a bit and when I returned, the quest was available.

I walk through the portal and nothing happens, I'm just "behind" the portal. Now what?

I did not work for me. I even tried logging out and even exited the game and came back and there's no change. I did it all a number of times. What gives?

I missed you in-game earlier, but I did want to clear up this quest issue for you!

The reason you're unable to pick up the Dark Portal quest is because that actually leads to all the Warlords of Draenor content. It gets characters rolling into the new content, but I see that this account actually has not upgraded to that expansion.

Without the Warlords of Draenor expansion, you won't be able to pick up this quest and head out to Draenor. Once you purchase WoD, this quest will pop up for your level 90 characters. :)

Hopefully this clarifies some things for you, but please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Have a great rest of your day, and I hope your further adventures in the World of Warcraft are loot-filled and epic!

I am having this same issue, but now, WoD is free with subscription, so I know the above solution pertaining to content does not apply,,,what now?

You are level 89. You need to be 90 to start Draenor content.

If you are looking for Quests in Outland at level 58+ some of the original BC quests have been removed for WOD. Call to Arms will show Hellfire Peninsula but with no quests showing. To find the quests for the Alliance head to Honor hold and out front by a giant wagon down the road you can find Sargeant Altumus, a human female, who will have quests to start opening up the zone, Just remember that at level 58 not all quests are available yet.

I decided to try tk statt the WOD quest line but i cant find away to start it. I never had problems like this on my Dk or Hunter.

when I went to start the WOD stuff on my first DH, I believe I just headed to the portal in Blasted Lands and talked to Khadgar directly.
