The sheer number of bots EVERYWHERE is simply shameful. They’re litterally anywhere you can think of, farming gold. Fly-hacking in dungeons, farming grave moss in duskwood; hell, just farming the mobs there, and anywhere else there are lvl 25 mobs.
And I know this isn’t the first time, nor the last time, that these bots have been/will be a part of classic; however, given the low level cap cramming us all into a few select zones, it is more noticible than ever.
We need to come together; keep discussing this until it is fixed. Every minute that passes is just more gold pouring in and inflating the economy through RMT. We need to draw as much attention to this as possible and let Blizzard know that this is disgraceful and needs a solution.
Don’t worry they banned the buyers and slapped the wrist of streamers that bought gold. They need to learn that they need to hire in game GMs to monitor the servers. Bobby can’t deny them now
Essentially, they go into the dungeon, fly through the air to avoid aggroing mobs, and loot chests. Do a /who shadowfang keep There is legitimately no way a lvl 16 rogue is going to do anything in there without some form of cheats.
Just started playing a second character and yeah, when I got to Westfall the number of bots was absolutely insane, with their plainly obvious waypoint movement
I’m leveling in Westfall right now and there’s a chain of 8 bots running the same path over and over again hitting about 10 spawn points. They all level 17 and pop their abilities at the exact same time.
It’s so blatantly obvious that they bots with names like Defr, Fdsfsa, Gdrf, Dafs, Jhjgh, Fafsa, Fasfdas.
This crap right here is why people play on private servers… because they AGGRESSIVELY BAN BOTS.
How the hell did these bots get all the way to level 17 untouched?
This is such a gross pov. Yes, I report at least a dozen bots every time I’m online. But I can’t be on 24/7 doing a billion dollar corporations job FOR them.
they like shoot up almost like teleport upwards in the air really fast and back down over and over again while doing a walking animation to get around walls and stuff it looks really funky
they havent seemed too invasive on crusader strike is why im asking why theyre that bad. like they are there but not like game obliteratingly unable to quest bad and everyone usually just kills them so idk was curious if im just blind or something
Most of the overworld bots are scripted pretty well, such that they appear as normal players. They can (and typically do a lot) jump and strafe. (oh I’m also on crusader strike btw)
However, if you mess around with them a bit in pvp, you’ll quickly realize they are not real players. For instance, this mage in duskwood farming the grave moss that spawns in the GY there. I would attack him every single time he would start picking the flower, and every time without fail, he would turn and cast polymorph on me. The catch is, I’m a druid in cat form, so it does nothing. He did this probably more than 30 times.
A ton of them are hunters though. I spoke with a rogue who was farming there too, and he told me that he would kill their pet, kick their revive pet, and then vanish. Their script would break, thinking they have their pet out, then they pull mobs and die.
Also, half the time they don’t even try with their name. They’ll be named stuff like “bbpbbpl” or “illiwlli”. Sure, maybe some people do have dumb names, but it doesn’t help their case.
Ex, you can see some dumb names here: https://imgur.com/BPeVHG3 (/who rogues in sfk)
