The crest is funnier than you think

I did a thread a couple days ago about ‘nothing left to do’ as All i need to upgrade are a 3 slots using runed crests. Well I played with my mate this weekend wincing everytime it showed where I would have gotten runed crests.

Because of that I built a boatload of carveds and weatherds and I will cap runed crest day one of the the week tomorrow. Leaving me with nothing to do the rest of the week. It’s amusing to me. I will still do my 3 11 delves for the gildeds so it’s not a total wash but it will cap my runeds before I hardly even do any content.

I don’t want to bother doing the math but I bet I still don’t hit 704 ilev in every slot.

Have you considered having a life outside of this game?

Some time in 12.2.5 the crest cap will be removed (as well as conquest) so don’t fret too much. Also it’s probably most beneficial to save your Weathered and Carved crests until the cap is removed so you can convert them with reckless abandon without worrying about the cap.

I don’t find your story interesting or funny at all.

Hehee yeah I have a good life.

That is so interesting.

Since I’m not going to cap every slot tomorrow at 704 that’s a good idea thanks!

You’d be done with runed crests already if you didn’t upgrade champion items past 691. It wastes 3 weeks worth of runed crests.

I mean, it’s not really even halfway through the season. Its like netflix releasing a show and people binging it in one day, then demanding for more content. XD

Slow and steady…

is this the level of storytelling we’ve come to?

Ya’ll need to tell more lies.

Yah but that means you got a hero in every slot that wasn’t going to happen for a delve player.

I would have had to wait until next expansion.

I won the lottery this morning. You would have seen me on TV if you were watching. I sent you a check in the mail for your cut. Should be there in a few days.

Ultimately the upgrade system does promote trying to find the best way to get max ilevel gear to avoid spending runes. If you fiddle fart through content and upgrade stuff from low levels rather than diving into 10s for high heri track loot and myth track vault you do get penalized by blowing through all those runes due to the weekly cap.

That said, cap is a little bit aways from removed so you’ll be able to grind freely and to your heart’s content. I personally don’t overthink it much since I don’t really care and once the cap is removed I may be inclined to spam keys to polish off gilded. I am so far behind them anyways though I could already do that, but it doesn’t

I do know once you get the runed achievement whenever it becomes smash and jab for the delve in Karesh it’ll be a great place to farm gilded. I can do that delve story in like 5 minutes, but I’m not done with runed yet cause I’ve slacked this season.

you will get 704 or higher total though, with crafted so I dont see the issue. there is a gearing cap for solo play. Delves are the means and Nemesis is the end goal. if you want more than that, maybe they will expand on that next expansion.

I will say that solo play has been extremely good in TWW. better than its ever been, but you also have to remember this is an MMORPG. they cant make solo play equal to group play. that would change the fundamental nature of the genre

Are you unhappy about “having nothing to do”? Then do more things instead of limiting yourself to this tiny sliver.

Are you happy about having nothing to do? Then go outside and enjoy.

I just like, you know, play a different game lmao. WoW is boring because the raid and dungeon formula hasn’t changed in over 20 years. It’s literally trash pack, trash pack, pull boss. Eight bosses, all the good trinkets in raid, last 2 bosses are the hardest or they aim for that at least. Been like that for 20 years now.

You will maybe if you’re lucky see a 3 boss or 1 boss raid. MAYBE. Is there a dungeon with nothing but bosses and no trash? No. Is there a dungeon with a massive wave of trash with one boss at the end? No.

Can they innovate with this game anymore or is it perma stuck like the iPhone? I personally am bored of the 20 year old lock outs and 20 year old loot distribution and 20 year old dungeon formulas, how about you? Maybe you only started playing WoW last year so this is all “fresh” for you?

It’s like eating cuisine, you eventually get tired of your own culture’s food except for the most classic, go to staples.
I could ditch American cuisine right now and go full Japanese, that’s how done I am with American food, same with WoW.

stranger danger!
