The Creation Catalyst is Coming the Week of April 12

They turn into items that are part of the set but do not have the set bonus. An easy way to see the stats in game is to go to the appearance tab, go to sets, and shift click to link the individual pieces of your set into the chat. There you can click the armor and check out what each item will roll with.

Can you tell me if you know what secondary stats are going to be? It makes sense for your tier to have your best stats, as it always did before tier was removed from the game. What are you seeing on the PTR if anything?

The created tier has the same stats as the tier from the raid.

When I get home I’ll take some screenshots so people have an idea lol

You know, I’m gonna be ticked when I use this for the first time, and then the EXACT same item drops during our weekly raid…

Ok cool, I appreciate that. So my main is a Frost Mage, I would expect them to be Crit/Haste but I have no idea.

Say I use a 268 piece to turn into a tier piece, will I still be able to use Valor points to upgrade that piece beyond 268 or is it now locked to that ilvl?

Why does it matter? Its really really easy to get higher ilvl gear from mythic+ casually. Odds are if you only use cypher gear you arent playing in any content that actually requires Tier or good gameplay to begin with.

Then wait after raid to use it.

Yes you will be able to upgrade it, same with pvp, as said in the first post.

Thanks, Captain Buzzkill.

Okay, for those who don’t understand the stat stuff:

No matter what the base item is, the item it creates will always be the set item. This is very specific. For instance, “of the Demon Star” for Warlocks.

For non-tier pieces, you can find the stats of those items on wowhead, or by going to your appearances and mousing over the appearance in the set then shift clicking it into chat. You will also be able to get a preview if you mouseover the item in the Creation Catalyst UI. For instance:

The item level will also always match the level that you converted:

World Boss Pants:

LFR Shoulders:

Sandworn Relic Shoulders:

If it’s a M+ or PvP piece you upgrade, it retains the ability to upgrade.

Another system that is time gated and feels horrible to use. Lowering gear 6 levels can’t make that up I mean seriously. More punishment less fun as usual. I just give up .

I would still like to see some clarification regarding charges being gathered more quickly as time goes on as you previously stated.

I think it would be just for Tmog. Me, I would throw away my excessive cosmic flux thru Tmog since I dont have alts. And raiding is not my main game to collect other tmog pieces. We will see.

Does this mean it will function like the domination gear from SoD?

So we would only need at least 1 piece from the helm/shoulder/chest/gloves/legs to get the bonus, and would just need any other combination of tier pieces to count towards the bonus?

What do you mean “tier” from the raid?

The only “tier” in the raid is the helm, shoulders, chest, gloves, and legs.

There are multiple belts, bracers, etc. in the raid, all with different secondaries.

I’m thinking they’re making the new “tier” pieces have entirely different secondaries than already exist in raid to give players more options.

Can you show the screenshot from the Creation Catalyst of a waist, wrist or boot item please?

How nice of so many of you people to decide what others need.

If people wanted to do mythic plus for gear they would have done it already and not bothered with the cypher gear.

It does the exact same thing, minus the set bonus.

The thing you aren’t understanding is that even if it was a white with zero stats other than the tier related stuff it’s still BiS because of the tier set effects. Stop worrying about ilevel and think about power. The power you’re getting through it is a huge upgrade from the 252s. Even mythic geared players BiS in tier slots is lfr level tier (which is 239 or 246) vs things that are mythic raid level. We get free welfare tier we don’t even have to do lfr for. Quit looking a gift horse in the mouth. Jeezus

Once again blizzard get so close, yet fall down at the finish line… why cant’t we just be allowed to play around with different set slots… ie; run legendary helm and chest and then acquire 4 piece with shoulders/gloves/legs and an off piece or just all off pieces… its the end of the expansion and you’re looking too boost reputation with the player base to keep them playing for atleast the next 10 months before 10.0 patch, this system could be fun to play around with yet you restrict it to transmog.
