The Creation Catalyst is Coming the Week of April 12

Yes god forbid I want to play the game how I like it playing the endgame activity I actually enjoy instead of being forced to burn out on raiding again which I no longer enjoy, at all. If tier sets work in m+ then they should be obtainable in a reasonable timeframe without complete RNG by dedicated m+ players, same for pvpers, simple as that. Why should some normal/heroic riad logger have 50% better gear for m+ than me who has done 100+ 15-22 keys for 2 months? Gonna pretend they’re more skilled or dedicated than me? They should have better gear than me… for raiding, not 50% better gear for m+ and pvp too. M+ and pvp only dedicated players should be able to compete within 5%~ of raiders in their own activity (pvp or m+), not be 50% behind for months.

If tier only worked in raid like domination shard set bonuses, I wouldn’t be complaining. Pick one, tiers are raid only and work in only raids, or tier works everywhere and can be obtained by everyone without it taking 2 dang months longer of being a 2nd class citizen missing 50% power. As is this is just awful timegating design and archaic “raid or die” mentality that only pushes paying customers away.

You can and do. But it has its downsides. I also have to wait for mythic because I don’t raid mythic. Seems fair to me.

They are. Catalyst. They even let you get flux in m+. It might not be as quickly as you want it to be, but then you’re limiting yourself.

Can you put Cosmic Gladiator gear into the Catalyst?

Why is the catalyst PVP enabled? Shouldn’t it be a pacified zone like Haven?

when is the cd on catalyst going to be reduced?

What’s absurd is thinking people will play raids with randoms without any form of onboarding process or replayability within the same span of one week. I don’t raid as Blizzard has made it clear they do not want us playing it more than once per week, or if we do, that we get punished for it. I need replay-ability with forward progress for each iteration, or I won’t touch it. Failed runs or wasted hours with lockouts is waste of time and gives no reason to “master” and “push” content. Lockout system has and always will be garbage and what prevents some of us from touching raiding. Same reason I hate the vault, once a week quota runs contrary to bursty playstyles and actually trying to push.

There’s a tank shortage in m+ because the game actively punishes mastering content via the vault quota system, along with forcing you to wait for drops from vault after you hit a certain ilvl. No forward progress is by default punishing a player with a negative experience, as you have to spend your time dealing with other people likely to harass or fail the run.

Also to the devs: I will not touch CC. I haven’t yet and you’ve made gearing more toxic/unspecial than it used to be. I’m going out of my way now to be “that” statistic that shows one avoiding something entirely because it’s awful and antagonistic. Developer caused issues making us not want to raid along with trying to force people to raid with parasitic reward design via CC’s timegate troll made some of us feel like 2nd class citizens. On top of this, I do not want to encourage doubled up timegate (vault then cc).

I already stopped playing SL content entirely. I didn’t do anything that contributed to vault last week. Two weeks in a row of broker coin redemption after being fully engaged with m+, while being actively trolled with CC timegate made me bitter and sour and hate you with burning passion.

Stop taking some of us for a spin and then blaming it on players not wanting to interact with each other. Of course we won’t, if you’re trolling with forward progress. I play on my ilvl 272 prot pally tank toon and have timed 50 15’s according to raider io for S3, and every single one of those has been an LFG pug group. So you have a tank main dropping out for the rest of the patch.

please do not add tier sets to professions in dragonflight you will have shadowlands 2.0 1m gold for tier sets unless thats the plan to p2w and sell wow tokens.

just let the tier sets drop from raids…please.

Excellent post i like it

I am as well wondering this. Would love to know when we can upgrade more than just one piece of gear per week.

So you can complete the transmog set, I believe . The secondary stats change when you convert to the tier, so you could convert if the new stats are better for you or keep the gear the way it is if they aren’t. Although, lets be honest: secondary stats don’t mean as much in SL as they used to; the legendaries and soulbind conduits have seen to that .

It also keeps terciary stats (speed/avoidance) and gems slots on pieces like wrists/belts etc. etc. so can take a piece of gear that you get and swap it to something useful if the stats suck for your class.

Cosmic flux buffs or catalyst cost reduction when

I swear there’s not a thing you casual players don’t complain about.

First of, awesome. Second, I think it says something that this patch felt the most exciting when Valor cap was removed, and the Catalyst timer was lessened, since SFO was released. I understand the Valor cap, I guess, but it’s a bit infuriating when you have to wait for about 3-4 weeks to upgrade a weapon to full. The partial upgrades are not really helpful since most people end up just saving Valor until they can go from say 10/12 to 12/12 upgrade.

Basically, TLDR, time-gating systems are the worst and the game should just focus on performance-gating systems.

maybe i need it.

This patch has been the most alt friendly and enjoyable since… I don’t even know when before BFA even (did not play legion) Being able to create 4 set uncapped valor, Skips, and being able to buy 224 gear and mail it to you’re alts is very nice it! The game finally feels as if I can just play the game how I want to instead of worrying about grinding for borrowed power.

I do have one beef though and that is the fact that the font of ephemeral power and the decanter are not account bound there is absolutely no reason for this. Making players grind rep more than once EVER for anything are the type of mechanics that drive people away from you’re game instead of having them roll alt after alt after alt. They are 80% there
