It’s also the start of a new phase and most people are still leveling, which Phase 3 hasn’t been up for 36 hours yet. People aren’t focused on farming mats.
In a week it will be down to 40g or less, then by week 3 it will probably be 20g or less.
even 20g a stack is a stupid amount.

Prices are going to be sky high when the phase hasn’t been out for 48 hours yet. Just be patient and they will fall a good amount by the time your guild goes to raid Sunken Temple next week.

lol you didn’t play classic then. Mongoose was 40+ g a stack then. With gold inflated as it current is…. It is not going down to prices your talking

It just made me think “why bother playing when you can swipe if select players get given gold like candy”
And that thought is enough to make me quit cause then I am paying to enjoy playing the game I already pay for.

I played all of classic…mongoose got expensive after people had been level 60 for 6 months and we all had gold to burn. There are people in my guild who have less than 100g to their name. You are comparing a handful of Apples to a bowl of wet mice and thinking you are making a valid point.

Where is all that gold going to go? The AH isn’t a gold sink, that just shifts gold from one person to another.

You are not wrong, but its a world drop recipe that requires herbs that are in like 55+ zones for the most part.
Oh no! I wouldn’t buy consumables anyway, it’s classic and this content doesn’t need it. I wish I got some of that bugged gold… stupid job, how dare they make me work when I could have gotten some free gold!
I’m sure that has nothing to due with the fact that most players went for double crafting professions to abuse the powerful crafted items and few if any herbalists exist, and even less of them are high enough to herb the required materials to make these potions.
We are TWO DAYS into the new phase. Last phase the grime encrusted salvage were selling for 21g a piece, and to make a crafted item was almost 300g total. It’s not a new phenomenon. Stop incorrectly assigning blame.
BOE epics and blues from the previous phase are down massively, I picked up a green tower for 10g. Stuff in short supply and high demand is inflated while high supply and low demand items are maintaining their price. This means that it’s not server wide inflation but specific targeted demand. No issue.
5% of all transactions are eaten by the AH. it is a slow sink, but it does sink.
Gotta wait for the bots to start supplying the demand.

I enjoy SoD the most when I just put my head down and level and ignore other living lifeforms. I will interact with people in my current zone, that’s it.
Don’t interact with AH unless it’s sell or buy weapons, don’t interact with global channels, pretend Incursions don’t exist, ignore runes that require rep. We’re good.
If I didn’t need it to get to 60 in Era, I can do without it until 60 in SoD.
