Good god people, the new UI is actually decent, less addons I have to worry about, and here you are screeching about how it looks like a mobile game UI?
What’s wrong with minimalist? And I gotta say the previous default UI was clunky and non-customizable; I liked having the addon for the UI to move some things around.
What is all the issues? If you hate the game so much that the UI makes you scream, perhaps the game isn’t right for you anymore.
The logical thing to do when something bothers you is to step away from it
I do like the new UI, but I will probably see about downloading SexyMap or something for my minimap because that is one of the biggest parts of the UI and I can’t customize it much on its own.

MOST of the time the vast majority happy with a product just use it and never say a thing. Its the percent who have it bad who will often take time out to review something cuz theyre bent over something that went wrong.
That can seriously skew the REAL view of the product if one were to take a poll of 100% of the actual users so that it looks like its bad when its mostly not
Disliking the UI does not mean you hate the game. Its a false equivalency.
If I dislike creamer, it doesn’t mean I dislike coffee.
I doubt their complaints stem from minimalism. Many of them are upset about losing the aesthetics/vanilla appearance. Some dislike it because they think it looks rushed for various reasons. They are appreciative of the effort, but not the quality they received.
I think more people than I realized just never changed their UI. It’s likely clickers complaining; and I’m not bashing clicking. But that is the only group of people who I can see would never have changed their action buttons with addons.
In that case, I can see why they might be frustrated. The place on the screen where they are used to clicking isn’t there anymore. And since they’ve never changed their action bars through addons, they don’t know how it works and don’t want to learn it for the sake of this change that they think is needless.
I get it.
Still, we all have to adapt to changes we don’t like in everything in life. Nothing lasts forever. It’s better to be open to it and get a system down where you can learn these things when they happen.
( Funfact with this. In the comments you can see a 9 year old comment I left that said “This is really going to come in handy on the world of warcraft forums”. Forum mentality amusingly hasn’t changed at all when it comes to how they react to change )
