The content being too easy makes flasks worthless

Having that knowledge just improves your play, making you better.

The content in the game didn’t get harder every xpac…

Hi supply meet demand. Too bad your investment didn’t work, should ask for your money back, you know like speculators do.

I have been playing classic for 20 years! Get rckd!

Friend, literally no tier in vanilla had mechanical checks. Naxx was their first attempt at mechanics and even it was like LFR level.

Yes, it literally did. Raiding especially, once heroics were added, became far harder.

Go look at a fight like Mythic queen and compare it to anything in the game in vanilla or BC. You’ve either not done real content in this game or have a very distorted view of ā€œhardā€ if you think content in WoW has not gotten harder over the years.

Your average entry level mythic boss these days is leaps and bounds harder than anything naxx had even.

Yeah, because you don’t know what you’re talking about. A slightly above average LFR player has better mechanical ability than your average end-game raider in vanilla had.

Do you seriously think a fight like mythic queen doesn’t require a far higher level of playing ability than anything in naxx had?

Players got better because the content got far harder, that isn’t even debatable.

Tfw buying flask each week and I wish they were back to 60g.

Never said it was, I specifically said it was mostly gear checks. So confused on what point you are trying to make.

I’m noticing a serious amount of cope about classic as of late. When you confront people with the fact the content is an absolute joke they start coming up with stuff like ā€œoh but it was a gear check bro, and you had to farming healing potions!!ā€ to explain away the fact the game is an absolute joke.

I imagine when naxx drops and it’s getting smashed too, the arguments will again shift, some new excuse for why the content is a joke will appear.

Classic raiding is a joke, still, it’s far more enjoyable to raid in Classic than it is in BfA.

How is it more enjoyable to hit bosses with 2-3 buttons, bosses that have no mechanics?

You might as well go hit a target dummy.

Because there comes a point when there’s too many flashing mechanics and Big Wigs/Weakaura warnings all over the screen that it just makes it tiresome and annoying.

I remember when I was watching the prog for Mythic Uu’nat. Joshpriest was streaming and he died and chat was blaming him so he went through the clip and was saying ā€œOk, this is where it went wrong. No wait, here. Nope, here. Wait, it’s actually hereā€ā€¦ ā€œChat, I actually don’t have any idea what’s going on in this fight.ā€

That was 500 wipes in.

You’d save yourself a lot of time if you just said ā€œI don’t like retail pve because it requires some form of a brain and I want to mindlessly smash 2 buttons on a target dummy.ā€

I’ve never experienced any of the problems you just talked about.

Flasks are ludicrously expensive. I laugh at anyone who expects them to be used for MC/Ony.

There’s a lot of bosses that are irritating and just not very fun to fight - in both Classic and retail. Adding more mechanics onto it doesn’t help.

That’s great, enjoy your dying Mythic raid scene. The content is unrewarding and excessively complicated for no reason other than to ā€œchallengeā€ people that enjoy wiping hundreds of times over and over again.

The definition of insanity…

Yeah, people that enjoy being challenged in a video game are totally insane.

What is considered ā€œhardā€ is relative to how the content is designed. When a game is designed to be mechanic heavy it’s difficulty lies mostly in memorizing said mechanics. Something designed from a gear check standpoint the difficulty lies on prep.

Furthermore my comments have little to do with comparing the difficulty of classic vs retail, but comparing the difference between vanilla and classic.

There’s challenging and then there’s wiping 800 times. I can handle about 50 wipes before I start to hate the boss, I clear Heroics and that’s enough for me.

Classic raiding rewards the best loot in the game, it’s not showered on everyone like the loot in BfA. My Paladin on BfA is 443 ilvl or something and I haven’t touched Mythic raids or even played in months.

Game is a joke, everyone wears roughly the same gear.

Eh. I did the Mythic song and dance for a while. It was neat, but I found myself spending way more time doing things I don’t enjoy (M+ grind, for example) and wiping over and over due to others failing.

I like the challenge in single player games. Not in a game where you rely on 19 other people. Heroic raiding is the difficulty of raiding I prefer for casual play, and I think should be the baseline. Mythic raiding has its playerbase and good for them - but it’s not for me anymore.
