The waist on male nelf models bothers me to no end. And the way they walk is like they have a Teldrassil branch stuck up their barrow dens! Wouldn’t mind some younger looking faces either. What is the point of living forever with a face that looks like ten thousand year old purple boot leather?
I will admit that Lion’s Rest is a gorgeous spot. The trees, the bushes, the waterfalls, in a lot of superficial ways at least it’s a rehash of the Park District. But the city already has a giant statue to Varian in the Keep, why did we need another memorial to Varian instead of sprucing up the statue at the Keep?
I guess the answer is it makes a good backdrop for every cinematic in Stormwind ever since its creation. Obligatory SYLVANAAAAAAAAAS
I miss the empty buildings that could easily be repurposed by RPers and the Moonwell. Lion’s Rest reeks of artificiality. A monument to the ego rather than memory, especially since they never bothered to update any old world questing zones since Cata so Westfall - underneath the oh-so-timeless CSI: Miami gag - continues to emphasize the point that Stormwind, as a kingdom, is BROKE.
How we paying for that nonsense? We aint got a taxpayer base any more! The Military Industrial Complex sure aint footing the bill for it, not unless it can transform into a gigantic macro-energy cannon and blast Horde Airships out of the sky.
…speaking of that, a sudden thought. Did the Horde lose an Airship in the Shadowlands? If not it marks the first expansion since their introduction in Wrath they haven’t lost one.
Yeah if you take the BFA narrative very seriously, Anduin basically said the Alliance was conscripting farmers and normal citizens to fight the war. When you take into account of the 3rd war, the Scourge, the Cataclysm, the war in Pandaria/Horde civil war that Alliance helped with, the Iron Horde, the Legion, another war AND an old god rising it’s a wonder there is anything left. That’s just the major events. The First and Second War should be having a major effect on population and money too.
Eh. WoW has always played fast and loose with populations.
As we love pointing out, the Blood Elves are almost extinct yet have enough manpower to field numerous standing armies. Every faction has exactly as many troops as the plot requires them to.
I tried that once, I put “Masterless Squire” in my TRP and I made it to halfway to the first bend in Silvermoon before someone whispered me asking if I was looking for a sexy kind of master.
I mean, it makes the most sense that the people with the most money, the private mages and properties outside of the city would be more easily able to escape en-mass than the citizens who were fleeing to what they assumed was the single most unassailable location they could reach …
Lizard People are Lizard People, regardless of their actual race.
Makes you wonder if they tried and got rejected as a result of their previous show of disloyalty?
I do like to think they fall into three camps.
Consumed with regret for what they did and are desperate to protect Silvermoon and her lands as penance.
Consumed with shame over what they did and try to distance themselves from the other Houses and pretend they’re paragons of Sin’dorei/High Elf cultural values.
Have learned absolutely nothing and try to carry on like the destruction of the Sunwell caused absolutely no problems … for them.
Eh. I don’t know about any of that. All I know is don’t mix Fel Drank with Void Drank. You end up with San’Layn eyes. Points to his own, glowing reddish peepers
