I want this…
That is why, that the range without increasing so much op to your system, a bit like the beginning of expansion like all new classes such as the DK, the DH and the Monk would be to give a faster movement, that if in affecting the balance a lot other classes.
That is why a Tinker Caster class should be much better than previous range caster dps classes, actually even a combination of melee but with more caster range skills.
That is why the melee is started first so that later the DH is the future for a new gameplay and mobility in the experience of the game and of the new classes that they approach without having to look too much like a previous one that we already know.
I suppose, yea. I tried to put some melee stuff in there too since I would expect a tinker to not have to focus so much on range. Could have been implemented better, though
I think the Tank spec would function best with Melee.
However: Since your proposed Tank spec used a Mech suit to gain access to it’s abilities, and gain a lot of armor. It could functionally turn your weapon into a “Stat Stick”
Just like a Bear or Cat Druid. Your weapon only matters for your stats, and doesn’t have any bearing on your shapeshift form attacks
Therefore. IF you wanted to skip out on Melee weapons entirely, A tinker tank could use a gun as a Stat Stick for their tank spec.
I’d be happy with that. It means you need 1 weapon for all 3 specializations.
Give us Guns with Intellect as their primary stat Blizzard. Then we can finally have 2 Ranged classes.
Not sold on tinkers but the effort and detail you put into this is admirable.
Do hope you’ll do one for Bard or something else as well.
I’m kind of hoping that Mechs will be configurable for offensive and defensive modes. Including range (guns) and melee (saw blades) for example.
Best way to describe it, Mech spec would have 2 forms that it can change into, much like Druids. But this would only be for the Mech spec.
or remote control of other Weapons like swords, axes, Warglaives or daggers.
That is why in caster mode, Techinichal, Geas or magic engineer, it would have a special effect of using any type of weapon only for the use of casting lasers, beams or explosives depending on which weapon you use, only as long as you use an upgrade nano technology no need to use dexterity, an ease in using a weapon without having to lift it like controlling it remotely like a flying drone.
similar to the style of Rune forge from the DK’s.
Fantastic work! I’d add a few things though:
-Turrets would be an absolute necessity to the spec. Give me a mail-wearer with area control! Net turrets, gun turrets, flame turrets. So many options, and they can look different based on race!
-Healer should simply be named Medic.
-Mines. Mines EVVEERRRYYYWHERE. Oh. Knockback mines. Did I mention mines?
There’s no reason to ever limit it initially to Gnomes and Goblins. It fits them perfectly, yes. But it also fits Draenei perfectly. And Dwarves.
I’m prepared to sacrifice my alts to play this class
You put a lot of effort into this, well done! The Tinkerer class will be a tricky class for Blizzard to do right.
I plan on it, but I squeezed all my inspiration into this one. Gotta recharge my crystals.
I love you Quinzal. But I will not support the addition of a bard class.
I’m not gonna try and prevent you from making the thread.
But my heart will be broken into a gajillion little tiny pieces.
Maybe i’m being cynical, but I feel like Blizz is the kind of company that wouldn’t take up an idea that didn’t come from within their own team. I mean, I’m sure people thought of Demon Hunters before.
But it feels like they’d say, ‘wow, this guy put so much thought and effort to this and it’s such a cool idea. we can’t run with it because it would put us to shame’.
If that’s been proven wrong, I’d be happy.
