Ever heard of RP realms?
We talk to each other in GD. We're a community.
The two best RP servers are Wyrmrest Accord...and that other one.
There's all kinds of RP and various levels of interaction.
Have fun.

RP realms aren't the solution to the problem of people not talking to one another. Unless you want the RP realms to be infested with the anti-current president and politics chat in Trade.

Community is such a strong word, i like to think we are more like the members of an AA meeting.
Honestly, not talking to other people avoids a lot more problems that would have been created by simply talking to them to begin with in my case.
Don't need want to walk on eggshells, don't need the drama. Silence is golden.

I’ll never understand the hang up over people “not talking”. People rarely ever have anything interesting to talk about anyway so it’s just noise because they think they’re supposed to make small talk. And small talk for the sake of it is one of the things I have a borderline irrational hatred of.
Well, back then we didn't need to play on an RP server just for a sense of community. It was just a given on a majority of the servers you played on.
Sharding has killed them.
Sharding has ruined the game.

Well, the people crying about that should have no problem not bringing that into rp realms, no? They're the ones that won't shut up about it.
When the company actively seeks out social situations in their game and deletes them of course the community is gonna suffer.
We need the possibility of bad situations so that when they happen you can target a toxic person and outcast them. Not sacrifice what could be good social interactions for safety.

WoW encouraged social interaction in the early days because it was more effective to be social and complete objectives in a cooperative manner. It didn't matter if you were social or not, if you were polite, you would get a good reputation. With how easy the baseline level of content is in the game's current state, there's in incentive to group up with players, there's no need. Players are competition in the current game, and with shared tagging and ease, there's not even any reason to group at all.

You talk with us, and we love you!

Isn’t that where they Goldshire? :D
You have to talk to people for them to talk to you.

Yes. Go to an RP realm so you can still not talk to anyone and mostly see people from unconnected servers that you can't guild with. What a fantastic idea.
-_-
Tbh i'd be happier if sharding was removed from the game so the only people I saw and grouped with out in the world were people connected to my server. Because even if you do group up and make some friends, you can't guild with them. There's still a wall between you.
