Its honestly disgusting how detached they are from the player base, is there one dev doing all the coding? whose approving of changes on the management team? Are they just hitting send on the update button and not looking at the forums/feedback? Are they playing their own game?
How does Jagex with a smaller dev team/budget have a way closer relationship to their players? No poll system, nothing but wow forums to toss your qualms into the wind where the only people monitoring this cess pool are the player base itself.

Jagex doesn’t hate their customers/players. Simple as that.

Same with destro lock. Our DPS is dependent on having our imp out but in the new raids anything short of a stiff breeze will one shot it.
correction, the osrs dev team doesn’t hate their players
the suits at jagex, on the other hand, can’t stand the osrs playerbase. this is because they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if they even so much as THINK about monetizing osrs in any manner that even remotely resembles how atrociously monetized rs3 is, the osrs playerbase will quit en masse and jagex as a studio will immediately fold because osrs is what’s paying the bills
they know this because osrs’s current playerbase is the one that actually did abandon the game in the squeal of fortune era and resulted in one of the single biggest falls from grace that any mmo has ever experienced
it’s one of exactly two shining examples of gamers voting with their wallets against the devs in modern gaming history. the other being retail getting flight back after some suit casually dropped “btw no more flying ever” one day and they magically lost half their subs in a weekend.
