You did such a good job…is there perhaps a chance you can maybeee…probably look at feral druid because they’re just not as cool and strong as ret
(I love paladin and started playing druid, the difference between ret and feral is night and day, it’s so depressing, ret is fun, simple, and strong, short cds with burst and wings, AOE, single target, heals, defensive’s, and feral is…puke ).

I wish ranged/melee builds is seperate with the melee one having a proper gap closer.
I also wish fv/tv/jv did the same damage with only things separating them is flavor effects.

i wished ret had a bleed that reduces max hps by 15% and a mortal strike that reduces healing taken by 15%. I wished ret had a spammable dispell on snares and roots. I wished that ret had a spammable unbreakable cc like cyclone.
should i still go on ?
i wished ret had strong dot dmg that cannot be dispelled.
I wished ret had stealth to always get the opener first.

It’s not about averages, for him.
He likes spike damage profile better.
Something that Ret use to have.
Whilst Ret does have wings on 30sec with RG, it comes with certain concessions.
More frequent burst but not as high, Wake never benefits from AW ever again, less “skill” expression…
It’s about a preference, it’s not a statement on their respective current DPS balance and output.

Feral has an engaging playstyle that I wish they would give ret. Ret became holy frost dk and now has even less complexity than devastation evoker.
You reckon? I used love playing feral back in legion/bfa but for the love of god blood talons needs to go. Its a terrible idea

Ret also has to give up manually pressing wings for radiant glory when demon hunters can have both demon form from metamorphosis and metamorphosis itself.
Comparing ret to feral right now is just crazy. One is just head and shoulders above the other is not even funny.

thank goodness its not like havoc where it has both demonic and meta, cause it we had bothe rg and wings it would be a disaster balancing wise. a straight line damage profile is the worst profile youd want for a spec

it stops being burst and slowly warps to sustain consistency. especially with how overtuned ret is, if it was tuned normally for a spec with 60-70% uptime on its main cd people wouldnt be slobbering over radiant glory

It just means all the other abilities are already at the point they need to account for the uptime.
It can’t be simultaneously overtuned and be mid.
They won’t all of a sudden go “Ahh we need to adjust AW power according to its uptime” when by all accounts the balance of the spec is ok.
That’s a fictitious standard you’re making up.
There’s no rule that says that a CD has to have X amount of power for the uptime.
They can make literally whatever the hell they want.
The only thing it means is that the rest of the abilities are gonna hit more/less depending on what they decide the CD is gonna do and for how long.
They have gameplay goals and balance goals, as long as Ret remains in the position it is currently they won’t touch AW.
It’s not “overtuned”, it’s simply tuned correctly in context of everything else Ret does.
Because every classes big CD exist in relation and in context to the rest of their kit.
Ret is no exception.
after the templar buffs ret from mid underperforming to very strong and frankjly overtuned for its damage profile. if its not overtuned then having your max output of damage tied to how much uptime you can get from your main cd (which is semi rng btw) is also extremely cringe
dont confuse me for people who screams about how ret sucks after it got a sizeable buff
there is tho, you look at specs like outlaw, enhance, havoc if you play cycle of hatred/shattered destiny, and frost dk right now. me and better players saw this song and dance on multiple specs in the past and frankly having shills go “but its actually okay your just dumb” then go “this sucks i want burst” two patches later is getting giga old and annoying
if you got issues with other people, dont take it out on me or the “mean arahgon” everyone complains about will appear again

They aren’t the even mid performers in PVP.

There’s no such rule.
I understand you’re trying to compare CD’s with each others as if they existed in a vaccum with nothing else around.
But they don’t, that’s not how it works.
If the CD of Ret is “overtuned” but the rest of the abilities don’t hit that strong which results in it being mid to upper mid in class balance, than Ret is just balanced.
That’s it, its balanced.
They, meaning blizzard, let AW have “more uptime” and in exchange, to BALANCE IT OUT, they deliberately made other abilities hit for less than they could.
In what we could call an act of tuning.
Not that the uptime is all that higher for AW mind you.
It’s higher than it would be for vanilla Crusade for sure but might is about the same as 1min build+Divine wrath.
And crusade balances out by the fact that you get less time at full 10 stacks.
And RG also balance out by the fact that Wake is never affected by AW ever again also.
If Rogue has a CD that super short but hits really hard that result in it being upper-mid to lower mid, it’s not undertuned in duration, it’s just all around balanced correctly.
It might not be “fun”, which is something else, but it’s certainly not overtuned.

ret is extremely good in m+ just not a meta pick. just becuase your not a meta pick doesnt mean your instantly bad. same goes for pvp. it doesnt take braincells to realize that rets lack of skill ceiling and its current number output is a issue. but granted its “you” so im assuming you have no braincells left to work with
theres nothing wrong with wanting the spec to have actual cds and not have everything simplified into wake of ashes. its okay to want the spec to have a burst profile instead of slowly but surely watch it warp into a cringe sustain consistent damage profile like multiple specs has had in the past and are now. you might wnat to play outlaw rogue but as a holy warrior of the light. but i can assure you alot of people dont due to how crippling that damage profile is.
