The children of Neltharion

I have had such a blast playing through the story of this patch.
I may be a little silly - but I tend to wait for the whole storyline to be finished before heading out and doing it. I’ve been whacking out chapter by chapter right now - and I’m really proud of what the writers have managed to accomplish. Some quick thoughts -

  1. Love Loam and the Niffen. Oh my gods. They are the most endearing little creatures and I would happily do whatever I could to help them out - which is exactly what I’ve done. Week 1 of Zaralek was literally just me blowing through all the side-quests. They’re so sweet - and helpful???

  2. Sabellion, Ebyssion, and Wrathion - their histories are so apparent in how they’re written, how they’re acted - one is the last remnant of the old black dragonflight, another was raised by Tauren, and the last one had to make his way in a world that saw him as a threat, and only a threat. It shows - but what shows above their pride, their bickering, and their anger - is how much they really do care.
That moment when Sabellion tries to kill Fyrrak and fails - the first thing he thinks of aside from his brother is Loamm. Once we get back on our feet his immediate thought is to try and save as many people as we can.
Wrathion’s always been the same way.
    Same with Ebonhorn.

Their story has always been a little heartbreaking for me - especially here. Trying to…salvage what’s left of a family is something I’ve got experience with, and it tracks. The two who were more or less stuck in the family for the longest bickering over who gets what, while the oldest, and the most removed, reminds them it doesn’t matter. Whether it’s journals, furniture, or your father’s old gene-lab - the person who owned and wrote them was a monster.

I’m just…really loving how they’re working with it. It’s gorgeously done.
