There’s an incredibly vocal minority that’s unhappy with High Elf implementation (even though they’ve been screaming for it for years now) and was likely to never actually be happy with anything even if it’s what they say they want. These people would look at an immediately unlocked High Elf race with every class that Blood Elves have, and claim that Blizzard is slapping them in the face because they only gave High Elves +2% crit instead of +3%, and how dare Blizzard mock them by providing them with subpar racials for a race they’ve been wanting for- Well, you get my point.
These people are unreasonable, and nothing they’re given will be good enough for them.
You talk like rp-ers are the majority of the playerbase. Most players could care less what you’re pretending your avatar is. Most players just like more options for their characters.
If you’ve been here long enough you might understand that the many people who are gleefully saying the alliance have high elves now are also the same people who are saying horde players don’t have high elves.
Yes, it very much is a thing. Why people are so concerned with what others identify their characters as is beyond me, especially when it’s the entire purpose behind the design of these cosmetics in the first place.
Sarallesta saw it happening herself, which is likely why she quoted me.
I don’t think there is that much negativity over those who wanted High Elves and can finally play as one. People just have a tendency to focus only on the negative and blow it up out of proportion. If we just commented on the posts that are happy and excited over it and ignored the trolls, the negative would die down a lot. So for those that wanted to play them, I’m excited for you! I currently am leveling a dwarf paladin cause the customization coming to them looks sweeeeeeeet.
You can dress Void Elf to look like a High Elf , but that doesn’t make them High Elf . Anyone can have skin tones to look like an Orc , that doesn’t make them an Orc .
Many will die upon the hill of “you could have just gave us what we asked for in the first place”. But many more will be saved by the change and move on with their lives.
But I do not look down upon those who wish to die upon that hill because they are kinda right. Blizzard got a big head and pulled a dumb move.
We already knew High Elves were never gonna happen and when they are giving Void Elves High Elf options, this further cements the fact that they will never add them as a separate allied race.
This 100%, but you cant expect selfcentered ppl to all of a sudden be happy for anyone other than themselves lol. I’m just happy ppl on both sides finally get to play what they want.
