The childish nitpicking over High Elves is getting a bit old at this point

The mods disagree. It was flagged as spam and then resolved.

It’s allready at 60 posts and growing, its engaging serves a purpose, its not spam, the origional poster has not made a thread like this before.

And see, this here is doubble standards, because there are undead players asking for upright postures or old forsaken faces. And yet you’re not raising arms and yelling at them saying they are ungrateful and want more? But when its the EXACT SAME THING with high elves where its almost unanimous people are happy but still some ask for a few other things everyone is up in arms over it.

I don’t see them spamming the forum every day.
I don’t see them requesting things after being told no.
I don’t see them asking for a carbon copy of an opposite faction race.

There are differences to those requests you choose to ignore.

Oh, they’re throwing options at us, just not the right ones. All Thalassian elves still have a wooden expression and Barbie-like plasticity. Humans, otoh, HUMANS are getting all these cosmetic updates that enhance a lifelike appearance. THAT’s what y’all should be complaining about.

High elf skin tones is a recent development, the topics will die down.

Who (that actually matters) said no to the High elf requests?

They frequently ask for Nathanos style undead for the forsaken, which yes, would be a carbon copy of humans.

Think I just proved that wrong.

No, the topic of High Elves has been pretty prevalent for at least 4-ish months.

The game developer said no.

That is a different request than “straight-backed” undead.

Try again.

Can Blizzard start hitting people with 3-day bans for making new High Elf threads?

Just asking.

(Query): How long have you been on the forums?

(Observation): This has been on-going since Vanilla, and the debates only flared up when Allied Races were added.

(Correction): The last word was, “anything is possible in the future,” if you mean Ion, and other Devs after him commented that High Elves through Void Elves via customization was also possible.

“at least”

Can you provide a source?

I mean High elf topics have been on going for years, flare up and die down thats because its a popular subject, when this is old news it will once mroe die down.

No he didn’t. he outright said “anything is possible in the future”

And yet its still requested, so your point is invalid.

Done.

This argument both ways. He did say anything is possible in the future, but he also said if you want blond-haired neutral skin-toned elves the Horde is waiting for you.

Yet that is not what you wrote in your post. You mentioned:

My response was to your statement. Your statement never mentioned Nathanos style humans. You only added that in subsequent responses.

It has been pretty active for quite a while. I am sure you saw the huge megathread that was in the top posts of general discussion for months. I would not call that “dying down.”

Nope.

more like 12-13 years.

I acknowledge this, and I have specifically pointed out the use of the word “at least.”

High Elves were talked about minimally until 7.3.
The topic garnered a lot of attention upon the addition of Void Elves.
After that it has been pretty prevalent until it was announced that there would be new customization options added for races.
This sent it into a fervor, and the datamining/addition of skins sent it into overdrive.

(Commentary): A lot of players are excited and happy. Unit Exacitor would conclude this is a good thing.

And he isn’t wrong, but he also never said No, which is what you incorrectly claimed. He outright said it could be possible.

Does not make it incorrect you asked for more details I provided you with them.

It flares up and dies down, it will again die down. Just like most subjects that are braught to light by development.

Yep, Done.

  1. I never asked for more details.
  2. If you’re going to call someone out for not defending arguments in a post made before the argument was introduced, I have no reason to engage in a debate.

This has been childish.

You literally started it, there’s no ignominy in admiting you are wrong.

you sure…?

Your exact words, which I clarified for you with an example.

You had no reason to engage in the first place. You tried to make a point and were proven wrong, that would have been your moment to back down.

Any thread about Elves at all is just getting old…

Sooo you made a high elf thread to comment that there are too many high elf threads?

This is like one of complaining about complain threads but even more narrow focus.
