Been after the boots (last piece) for months! They just won’t drop 
I wish it had a skip option somewhere. Ehhh whatever. Lol

I would happily take the Chess Event over Spine of Deathwing any day of the week.
This event used to be the stuff of nightmares, so I’m glad it got toned-down.
That said, it’s still a pain in the butt.
I’d rather go through the chess event than to sit and hear Arthas and Tirion flap their gums at each other in ICC for the 9876th time.
Those two right there, those are two equal evils in my book 
I would rather level from 1 to 60 again than do the chest event.

For a sec I thought you were confusing monopoly with chess. Everyone loves the boot!

Spine is better. All you do in spine is afk in one of the tentacle pools while you alt tab to watch YouTube. Then kill all the blobs and kite an explody boy over them. Rinse and repeat.
Chess event you have to actually pay attention to AI moves, run like a madman back and forth to move pieces, move your king when the AI cheats with the fire, have the chest at the end bug out and get no loot.
Don’t get me wrong. Spine is stupid too. But the chess event is worse.
The surface of the sun wishes it was as hot as my hatred for the chess event.
Last summer I was trying to get a drop from Malchezzar meaning i had to do chess to get to him.
Each time I tried to leave a chess piece, that piece would despawn. Making the chess game much MUCH more difficult. And if you despawned your king, well then the alliance pieces would just sit there and the game would go on forever. with the occasional “Medivh cheats” and such occurring.
This went on for four server resets and I eventually just stopped trying to run it and gave up.
Yeah, the last time (over a year ago) I tried to do the chess event, it would not work at all. So I just gave up on it. I got the horse from Attumen, so I’m pretty much done with it anyway.
The chess event is literally the funnest part of Kara.
They never really went back and made it easier as solo.
It used to be a free loot event. Now you have to keep jumping in and out of pieces and takes forever and you can still lose if you are alone.
